I had Katy, she was wonderful and listened to what I wanted and made the perfect amount of conversation. I told her I wanted them as sharp as she could get them and she did an amazing job, they were all even and clean and very sharp. She flipped my hand around to compare shape/length and applied the acrylic minimally so they have a more natural shape. This is my first time there and they have a bunch of mood-changing/glow in the dark nails too.

I went here yesterday for the first time. When i called i asked if they could do designs, because i was not sure if i should play it safe. The guy on the phone said yes, and when I came in they immediately asked for the photo of the designs. when i showed them they laughed and said it was not even considered a design because it was too easy, and then i showed them another option and was impressed they could do both with no problem. I am always okay with people speaking in their own language. However, I am not okay with sitting there while they spoke in their own language, laughing, and mentioning things particular to me, such as being Somali and x,y,and x about my design. Anyway, great job on my nail. The rude lady was named Mai and the other rude person was the guy everyone else is complaining about. The moment I tipped he looked at the receipt and told everyone how much i tipped which was 30%, and even then no thank you, or anything. It was an uncomfortable experience, I hope it’s not like that if i go back again because they are talented. If you’re gonna talk about someone in your language, don’t be so obvious 🙂

Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI used to love this place. I recently went there for another fill. I had called on a Wednesday night and made an appointment for Saturday morning. The owner said that was okay and to see me then. I arrived with my mom and he said he didn’t have me down for appointments and that I never called. I then showed him my call list on my phone and it showed I called Wednesday night and he still was arguing with me. A group of 5 walked in after me and they immediately started their nails. He then was walking around showing all of the workers security footage and laughing. Very unprofessional. They are really unorganized and rude. When the guy who works at the front desk does peoples nails he has to answer the phone every 2 minutes when it rings to book more clients.I used to love this place. Coco nails is the best nail salon in Rochester. One and his team always deliver on both technical quality and artistic design. I am a licensed cosmetologist and this salon is CLEAN. I have had Oanh do my nails for years and I am always very happy. My nails are beautiful. He helps me figure out designs, keeps my nails smooth, and thin. When my daughter got married, our wedding party got mani/pedis and had a wonderful time at the salon. I also enjoy our conversations while he works on my nails. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I made a reservation a week in advance but when we got there they seated us all separately. We all started at about the same time and all ended up waiting for the bride for an extra 30 to 40 minutes. They seemed annoyed that we were all hanging out even though we had told them we were coming together. I found this frustrating because I called to make a reservation as a group and they said they could accommodate us.

Throughout my time many different nail techs have been on calls while doing my nails or stopped doing my nails to go on their phone. They make no effort to build a relationship with their costumers. They also make a big fuss when asked for a design or the use of many colors, granted I can see that as a big ask but I tip 40%. They also do not perform a full manicure, I recommend not going to coco nails.
