This business is predatory and unprofessional, I couldn’t recommend it any less if it was on fire. The billing department will lie to you about your insurance coverage. They just started charging new out of pocket costs for equipment. I am active duty military, I legally pay no out of pocket costs for any covered services under Tricare. They told me Tricare sent them a form I needed to sign saying I agreed to pay the equipment costs. What they actually wanted me to sign was a form that would have had me forfeit ALL of my coverage for this service. Tricare informed me that this was in fact not true. The billing manager became hostile after I informed them I knew what they were doing, and they refused to provide me with medical care unless I signed this form. Dr Javid is also very rude and hardly pays attention during her very rushed skin cancer checks. She acts as though she cannot be bothered, but some of the other staff are very very nice I must say. But this provider attempted to extort money from an active duty service member! That should speak volumes about the quality of care they they provide. I have never experienced anything so outlandish from any other medical establishment. Stay safe x

The visit to Coastal Valley Dermatology went very well. 1st – the appointment started on time and the doctor did not keep me waiting, 2nd – The staff was very friendly and very helpful. 3rd – The staff worked with me to go through all insurance options available and found a way to reduce my bill some, 4th – the staff sent reminders to keep me from forgetting my appointment. Overall – a great experience (or at least as good as it could be considering you are going to the doctor).
