I was initially very turned off after my previous two appointments at the office, but they definitely made up for my poor experiences. After having 2 disappointing appointments, Dr. Kunkel brought me into the office again for a appointment to check everything himself and give me complete and full explanations of what was going on with my skin and how to properly correct it. I really appreciated the appointment and it has been helping me in abundance with my skin care. Dr. Kunkel was very informative and made me feel like I was worth the time. I was asked to come back for another appointment and I am happy to come back for more after with Dr. Kunkel

Extremely RUDE receptionist. When I called to schedule an appointment, she told me they couldn’t see me because I didn’t have insurance, even though I said I would pay out of pocket just for a consultation. But the woman was insisting that i wouldn’t be seen without this in case they have to do a biopsy, and I was so furious. So you’re telling me I can’t even come in for a consultation because you’re already assuming I will need a biopsy that same day???? F you! Entitled white women that treat uninsured people like we can’t even be seen first before decided what other procedures we will need and want to continue with… W t f

I called to see what the initial office visit fee for a consultation would be as private pay. I was told over and over they couldn’t tell me because it depends on what “code” the Dr uses. She kept going on and on about these codes. Even saying the code # like that means anything to me.

Dr. Kunkel is not taking new patients, but I was able to see his physicians assistant, Greta. She was fantastic. She explained everything as she was examining me. Made me feel very much at ease. She has a wonderful bedside manner. The front desk staff was very friendly. As this was my first visit, I was pleasantly surprised.

Although Dr. Kunkel is no longer accepting new patients, I was able to see the nurse practitioner, Greta. She is the first dermatologist I’ve been to that really pays attention to YOUR skin and knows what works and what doesn’t rather than prescribing the same old medications for everyone. I have a horrible scar from a previous dermatologist’s office and she has been helping minimize the appearance of it. She is empathetic and truly helpful. I never feel rushed when meeting with her. I would highly recommend seeing her.

Best skin Doc in the game. They are great if you have skin cancer related issues. Over 20 years I have been seeing Dr. Kunkle. This is why he is always booked. In fact, maybe not even taking new patients, but I don’t know this for sure.

Just got off the phone with the receptionist to cancel my appointment. She acted like she was mad that I was canceling and didn’t even say goodbye, just hung up the phone. I’ve never been treated that way by a dr office. Usually they care about you. I’m hoping she was just having a bad day, but she just got the whole office a bad review
