I have been to other massage businesses in the valley where the experience is very rushed, frenzied, and the direct opposite of relaxing, to the point that I was put off from ever receiving a massage again. After thoroughly researching neuromuscular therapy, and suffering from chronic migraines since puberty, I decided to give Benita’s practice a try and was pleasantly surprised by how she went above and beyond in terms of professionalism, skill, and care, before, during, and after my massage. As she makes abundantly clear on her website, this is not the place to go if you want a quick massage, and as I will say in this review, there are plenty of other places in the area for that kind of experience. However, if you are looking for someone to spend some time discussing your specific needs and attend to them, I highly recommend Cloud 9 State of Mind Massage!

I have known Benita for a long time now and she is an amazing massage therapist. She has fixed many neck and back issues for me in years past and I suppose she will for years to come. I have never met someone more passionate about their profession than Benita. I can say that this Lady here is very tuned into your healing and she loves what she is doing . By far one of the best massages I’ve ever had. She is extremely thorough and appropriately asks for feedback throughout the entire session to make sure she is addressing your needs and not being too firm. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed out the door to serve the next client. I’m a very satisfied customer and will definitely be returning for maintenance therapy.

Went to a massage therapist today, will never go to her again. She was great at what she did but was in and out of the room, would stop the massage to talk me and my husbands head off and charged us for the 30 minutes that she was doing all that, and then tried to charge me a extra 10$ because she tried to say I wanted two hours when I never gave her a set time I told her I wanted a hour when I got there so she was really rude about that. Then she tried to say that because I change the time by 30 minutes that I owed her 10 extra dollars because Needed to come in at four instead of 330 when she was not busy at all she even told me to call her and let her know if I needed to change the time and that it wouldn’t be a problem so then when my time is up and then when his time is up she tells me that I have to pay her 10 extra dollars for that because I told her I needed to show up 30 minutes later which is ridiculous I’ve never heard of anything like that she tried to say because she went five minutes over on my hour that it went into my husbands time when his time has nothing to do with my time that’s just common sense and professionalism and so she basically took 30 minutes of his hour since she went five minutes over on my hour which is so unprofessional it’s unreal and to think I was going to tip her 50$ lol so glad I didn’t , I will never Go to cloud nine massage ever again.

My dad went to her for back spasms. He said that Benita is a caring, decent person and can’t say enough about how good she was. He had never had a massage before, and the results were far beyond his expectations. Benita is a certified medical massage therapist, and her techniques are far more sophisticated than a simple rub down sort of massage that you could get at the mall. His back pain was relieved after the massage. Highly recommend!

I have been to many massage therapists in Roanoke. Benita is definitely the best. She will make sure she is giving you the desired strength and is constantly making sure you are happy with the pressure. Even though I am a petite build, I like a deep tissue massage and most therapists must think I will break. Not her…the technique she uses is amazing! She always follows up after to see what she can do differently and she is very professional. Thanks Benita!

I didn’t even get past the initial phone call I asked a simple question and she acted like she was my primary care physician. While I respect the work that she does, her unwillingness to help me or even offer her services made my decision to write this review and not recommend this company.
