First time here to get a pedi, and it was an effortless and relaxing experience. The salon doesn’t provide artificial nail services so the atmosphere is sparkling clean, smells delightful & was relatively quiet, but not boring. They had HGTV on as well as quiet instrumental music. Prices seem high to me for the simple but professional service provided ($32?), but perhaps that’s the Clemson rent talking. Pedi included: Foot soak, polish removal, nails & cuticles trimmed, pumice stone on feet, foot & leg scrub, brief application of lotion to feet & legs, polish application.

Consistently excellent pedicures at a good price. However, the woman of the business has a very scolding and off-putting manner with me. She always shames me about the condition of my feet—I hike a lot! I am not fussing over my feet—that’s why I come for pedicures! I don’t like being scolded by a stranger who knows nothing about my life. If this continues, I’ll need to find another place.

I had an appointment on Thursday (10/20) for a gel pedicure and gel manicure. The gel pedicure was awesome but the gel manicure seemed great until I left. The price was a little high but I was willing to pay it for good service. On my finger nails I did a French tip which was a pretty white when I left Clemson Nails. 24 Hours later they began to turn a yellow brown at the tips of my nails making the French Manicure look disgusting. I called today to request a refund and told the lady that I did not want it to be redone because I was worried the same thing would happen again. The gel manicure was over cured causing the tips to fade into brown color. I went in on Monday and explained this and she tried to scrub my nails with acetone to erase “dirt” telling me that it was something with my body, or makeup use, hair dye or even chemicals. I explained to her that it was not that and asked for a refund again. A man (owner) told me that I signed something that I knew no refunds would be given. After not coming to agreement I left Clemson Nails, the lady called and said she would refund me if I came back. I went back and she kept trying to tell me that it was “something wrong with my body that she has never seen this happen, and it must’ve been something I did”. She gave me $45 back in Cash which was not the full amount originally paid for the gel manicure that lasted 24 hours or less.

I have been going to Clemson nails for years. It is a wonderful family owned business that has always prioritized the cleanliness of their salon. During Covid, they are going above and beyond to make sure you feel safe with appointment only visits, temperature checks, and barriers throughout the salon. On top of that they do a wonderful job and have always been reasonably priced. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
