I had appointment with Leah @3:30p, 1st she overbooked herself with a client in the chair when I arrived, a client waiting, then myself. She rushed thru flat ironing my hair & burned a patch out of my hairline At 5:40p *2 hours later I left with hair not done & bald spot in my hair. The burning got increasingly worse once I got home, my scalp is inflamed & today its scabbing. I’m applying aloe vera for soothing & healing. I contacted her, & although she returned my deposit, money doesn’t replace my hair that is now missing. She stated it was from the peppermint oil I used in my rice water treatment. I can’t say this is facts because I limit flat iron use & the oil was rinsed out along with a deep condition. I can say however, her flat iron was too hot because her coworker had to crack the door from the smoke. I have natural thick hair, it’s not meant to be bone straight like caucasians. These young stylist cannot do natural hair, because the 1st thing they grab are thermal irons. I regret finding her on IG, because 2 Pocahontas braids turned into a nightmare experience. I’m now left with nurturing hair growth, scalp healing, & preventing further damage. I also have to hide this bald spot in the front of my hair line & avoid a lot of tension. So please don’t be fooled by social media. Pictures & likes aren’t enough. Do your research ladies, love your hair enough.

My stylist is Leah and I love how she is so understanding and takes her time to please her clients… she is a beast with creativity and unique styles… I never had an issue with her not being reliable. Her craftsmanship creativity is to the up most expertise.. A lot of her styles are posted on protective Styles on IG.. they love her work.. she has excellent mentors that are guiding her to be the most proficient enthusiastic creative sophisticated stylist with great knowledge on hair care. Luv you boops… I love the salon you work in good vibes all the time you go Michelle..

Found the hair stylist Leah via IG. Loved the butterfly braid she had done on multiple ppl. Contacted her via text so I could get a butterfly braid done as well. She finally responded around 11pm. Made an appointment with her for 4pm Friday. As I was pulling up to the salon around 3:56pm Friday, Leah text me & had to cancel because she was sick. We rescheduled to the next day, Saturday at 4pm. Finally got in her chair & I ended up loving the braid. She told me it would last at least a week, probably up to 2 weeks for me because my hair was longer. Tuesday I contacted Leah because the braid literally started coming out & became super loose. I asked if she could fix the braid for me & she said yes I could come into the shop the next day. It’s now Wednesday (the day she told me to come to the salon) & I have been contacting Leah via text & phone all day multiple times throughout the day. I left a voicemail & even called the salon where someone answered to say she wasn’t there which was around 6pm. This is very unprofessional on Leah’s behalf. I would’ve given it 1 star but I actually really liked the hair style before it started loosening up & coming out, so I gave it 2 stars. Please teach the younger stylist more etiquette when it comes to communicating & booking with their clients. Because of my experience I will not book with Leah again.
