Haircut was fine (even good, 4 or 5 stars for that) but at the end the barber asked if I wanted a back of the neck shave. I asked if he was confident he could do it without cutting me. The barber said yes he was confident, and subsequently cut my skin in a few places, along with a perfectly straight slice in my skin across my hair line.

Real talk. Celeste is the best barber in all of NJ. She can cut hair better than Jesus can turn water into wine. She’s literally the messiah of hair. She can also cut kid’s hair like no one else on this planet. Seriously, she’s toddler approved. Classic Man rocks because of Sunday availability and they also have this brilliant app that lets you book appointments whenever, wherever. I can be on the toilet, and realize I need a haircut and Boom! Appointment made. No one else can even touch that. The only bad thing is they removed the little red fire engine in the Watching Ave store. They really need to bring that back. Anyway, go get your haircut by Celeste and you won’t be disappointed. She side cuts women’s hair too.

I used to get haircuts from this shop frequently but stopped when I found another local shop. This week I decided to give them another shot. The shop’s shelves were barren of any tools, supplies, etc. The one barber inside told me it was because they are getting ready to close down due to covid. Understanding that these are crazy times, I shrugged and sat down. I asked for a simple medium skin fade. The barber was rough on the back of my neck and I mentioned it to him while he was cutting. From the moment I got home from the shop, I felt irritation on the back of my head/neck. 3 days later I finally had someone take a picture of it to show me what’s going on on my head and I find this disturbing, unsightly image in my phone. My assumption is that they have just put away all their barbicide and alcohol and are cutting corners, not sanitizing their tools properly. I will be following up with a dermatologist about this nastiness on my head and I will definitely NOT be returning to this barber shop. This was a very big disappointment and is pretty unacceptable in my opinion.

Love this place! Definitely have to see Celeste, who has been cutting my hair for over a year now, and it looks great. Recently brought my girlfriend with me, and Celeste cut her hair in the private backroom too. Pricing is good compared to the area.

Absolutely loved this barber shop! Celeste is amazing. I just moved into the area and was nervous about going to a new barber. Celeste actually listened to what I wanted my haircut and beard to look like and boy did she DELIVER!! It was exactly what I wanted down to the finest detail. Would give 10 stars if I could. Would highly recommend.
