I can’t believe this lady still around. I had a facial with her years ago, from a package I had purchased. She provides the worse customer service I have ever received, she was rude and unprofessional. I moved and return to find she’s still around!!! Horrible person and horrible facials, buyers beware. If you’re looking for great service and great quality… this is NOT the place.

Critical: Communication, Professionalism, QualityTerrible microblading. Environment not clean. Touched her phone multiple times with gloves and did not change them before touching my face again. Charged for 2nd visit (during the 1st visit) and when I didn’t like the outcome and did not want a 2nd visit she would not refund. Basically scammed out of hundreds of dollars. Her text messages were very inappropriate and super unprofessional. Eyebrows were so bad people literally laughed out loud at me. I ended up removing the microblading with peroxide and Q-tips which left open wounds, though once healed I was back to normal and avoided long term embarrassment. I first started going to Clarity Spa last year after having been a regular at Hand & Stone for two years. Of the half dozen aestheticians I’ve ever been to, Janie at Clarity Spa has been by far the best one! I suffered from moderate acne scarring, from high school (back when I wasn’t taking care of my skin properly), and the treatments I’ve received from Janie have done more for my skin than anything I ever tried at Hand & Stone. I would highly recommend her for anything, but especially the micro-peal and oxygen treatments. She also provides a variety of other services, including waxing, tanning, and various types of facials.

I’ve been coming to Janie at Clarity Spa for a couple years now, and she’s always impressed me with her knowledge and experience. From microderms, to dermaplanes, peels, and gold facials, Janie always has a good idea of what’s best for my skin’s needs. Before learning about Clarity Spa, I had been wasting money going to Hand & Stone for years. Their one size fits all approach to facials and constantly rotating selections of estheticians was not ideal for my skincare needs. In fact, I’ve seen more improvement in my face in one year with Janie than I did in three years going to Hand & Stone monthly. To reemphasize how good she is, I recently moved to Austin, yet I still make the three hour trip to see her once a month. Anyone living in the Clear Lake area looking to improve their complexion honestly has no excuse not to check her out!

I had an appointment at 2pm and began to call Janie at 2, struggling to find the building. She would not answer the phone. She finally answered around 2:25, and snapped that she is not able to answer calls in the spa. Considering the fact that she was contacting me on iMessage, I think it’s safe to say she could have stepped outside to take a call on her iPhone. Obviously she wasn’t with another client, since I was calling during my own appointment time. If your client hasn’t shown up yet and is calling repeatedly during the appointment time, you would think one would connect the dots and realize that I am lost and could use some assistance. By the time she answered, half of my appointment time was over. The suite number listed on the site is not accurate, and the sign is for another spa entirely. There is no “Clarity Spa”. Big waste of my time today getting the run around from this woman. Can’t say anything about the service because I never received, but I was not impressed with the complete lack of customer service provided.

I do not recommend this place to anyone. Janie is not easy to work with and the site she wants you to schedule your appointments on wants a credit card number every time you book an appt even if all services have been paid for. I asked if she would just book my appt without having to enter my credit card number and she would not. Huge waste of money. Terrible experience
