My sister and I went here a few weeks ago and are happy to report that the shellac manicures we both got lasted a very long time! Very happy with the work and will be going back today! It’s also nice that this location has later hours so moms can go after prepping dinner. Acrylic nails, Pedicure, Men’s manicures, Nail painting, Stiletto nails, Manicure, French manicures, Nail extensions, Synthetic nail removal

7/18 Jenny did an amazing job with my nails today. I’ve had my nails done at Lux Nails and a few other places here in Jackson. This City Nails is by far the best place for getting your nails done. All of the staff are respectful, kind, and good at their craft! They helped me pick a color and Jenny did a wonderful job getting me what I wanted and more for my acrylic nail set. If you want to get your nails done in Jackson — you won’t find better than at City Nails. Thank you Jenny and City Nails staff!

I was a walk-in and only waited 10 min before I was able to get a brow wax. It did hurt a little , but once she wiped the cooling oil stuff on it it subsided… They do look great though !!!

My daughter got her nails done her polish came off on day 2. Got my feet done asked them to trim my toe nails and they didn’t. Acrylic nails, Pedicure

Critical: ProfessionalismFirst off, I would not refer anyone I know or anyone that’s looking to get their nails done to go to City Nails. If I could rate this place zero stars I would have. For the most part the whole staff is unprofessional. There is one younger girl, and she hasn’t been there that long. I don’t know her name, but she’s done my feet a couple of times. She is the only one that I would give five stars too. Very nice young lady and very professional. As far as the rest of them I have nothing nice to say. I’ve been going to City Nails for quite some time. I’ve been getting my nails done long before any of the staff that’s there now. It was a different owner; I believe her name was Marie or Tammy (not for sure) She was always the best and professional. I never had the problems I’m having now. The nail tech I see now is Tweetie (the owner). Tweetie is so rude, and she didn’t used to be that way. When Tweetie first took over, she was the sweetest person ever. I guess over time, she’s built her clientele and she has changed. I deal with Tweetie because I like the way she does my nails (and that’s about it). When customers enter Twenties nail shop, Tweetie and the rest of her staff only acknowledge certain individuals (Tweetie doesn’t say anything until I sit in her chair). I’ve sat and watched just to see if Tweetie and her staff would speak to the next customer entering the nail shop after me and sure enough they do. It’s only certain customers (if you get what I mean). Nothing to do with ethnicity, it’s everything to do with a person that looks like they have money or it’s favoritism. Then the whole staff is talking over each other like “How can I help you today” or “what do you need today” and “We’ll be right with you”. I feel my money and every other customer that gets services done there should all be treated the same. Our money is green just like the customers they treat like royalty. I spend good money when I go there, and I give good tips every time (even when Tweetie doesn’t deserve it). I tip two different people, Tweetie for my nails and I tip whomever doe’s my feet. Tweetie will do my fill in on my nails and then say go sit in one of the pedicure chairs, so that they can do your feet. Tweetie doe’s this every time she does my nails, even when they’re not busy (just finish my nails). Then when they’re done with my feet, I must wait because she has started someone else’s nails. What’s the point of an appointment if I still must WAIT EVERYTIME? Tweetie will sometimes make a comment that I don’t agree with and shortly after she’ll start speaking in her language to her staff and I know it’s about me because every single one of them are looking at me, talking as well (in another language). How rude is that? There was another time I went into the shop around 5:00 p.m. after getting out of work and Tina (a nail tech) told me that I would have to come the following day because it was only two of them working. Mind you I had already been sitting there for 15 minutes. Before being asked to leave, I noticed there were two customers in the chairs and one lady waiting before me. So, they weren’t busy as Tina tried to make it. I’m a regular customer and Tina could have handled that situation differently. I’ve seen when they’ve squeezed a customer in, and they were busy with several customers waiting. I ended up leaving that day. I was told the following day by a Co-Worker that she went in that same day I was told they couldn’t do my nails and got her nails done and that she didn’t have an appointment. After years of putting up with City nails staff and all the rudeness, I’m finally done. WORD TO THE WISE AND I HOPE YOU ALL LISTEN, SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH SOMEONE THAT’LL APPRECIATE YOU AND WILL TREAT ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS THE SAME.
