Opened in 2018, Montclair, New Jersey, became home to the 5th City Image Barber Shop Location. Our team of talented barbers ensures some of the best quality haircuts and customer service in the Northern New Jersey area. In 2009, Jeff Agnello decided to open up the first City Image Barber shop location at 19 years old. With dreams of eventually owning multiple locations, he now runs the largest privately owned barbershop chain in New Jersey, with 10 locations. City Image is also the first and only barbershop in the country to provide its employees with FREE healthcare! Our Mission is to continue to challenge the men’s haircutting Industry by creating an atmosphere where clients feel welcomed, and employees feel inspired.

I booked Saed Diaz for a Fade haircut, showed him the haircut and mid-fade placement I wanted. What I received was one side being faded correctly and the other side being completely uneven and not even close to a mid-fade haircut. As showed in picture. At inconvenience I had to go back and have saed adjust the good side to the bad side. Saed made no intention of making up for this mistake. I would suggest to think twice about booking saed as the haircut I requested was not given. Extremely disappointed in the manner this was handled.

Joes cuts the hair of my three preteen and teenage sons. They’ve never been so consistently happy with the cuts they’ve received from a single barber. Joe always takes the time to help them figure out the look they want and then he makes it happen. The cuts always grow in well, too! In addition to being a great barber, Joe is also a super nice guy. My boys love him! My Freshman son who was the first in the family to go there, has recommended many friends to Joe, all of whom love him as much as we do!

Mike, who I go to regularly, is extremely professional and pays great attention to detail. I have never felt like he rushes; he always takes his time and clarifies details about my haircut to make sure I get exactly what I am looking for. I will always come to this location as long as I am in the area.

The City Image shop in Montclair is a great location and comfortable environment to get a haircut. The barbers are all great guys and a very nice lady who also is a barber there as well. The shop location offers parking in a private lot in the back.
