Maggie really got to know my hairline and parts prior to the haircut so that she could cut my hair in a way where it would still look good as it kept growing. She pays close attention to the details and has great communication during the haircut. I started going to her after COVID when I had to get a lot of hair cut and she did it so well that I have been going back ever since.

I went for a haircut and showed reference pictures, was very specific about what I wanted, and corrected her when she misunderstood what length to cut my hair, but she still ignored my input and cut off all my long beautiful hair. I have the most unflattering haircut I have ever received in my life and I’m so upset about it. She sometimes does a decent job, but this time the result was devastating. I’m grieving the loss of my luchous locks and blaming this horrible experience on Maggie’s ignorance as a hairdresser.

First time she hung up on me, so I thought maybe she didn’t hear me so called a second time on a different phone and she just hung up the phone without saying anything. She’s expensive (don’t mind if cheap places have surly service as they compete on price only but at HER prices she should be QUITE a bit more courteous) she reminds me of the haughty clerk in Pretty Women who put down Julia Roberts thinking that she couldn’t afford her. I’ve been to most every hair cut spot around the south Bay, I’m born and raised in El Segundo. City cuts is genuinely the only spot that’s ever given me a consistent cut and I really appreciate that. I had a particularly awful haircut prior to meeting Maggie for the first time and she has been strategically helping me fix it each month! She’s the best, absolutely recommend!

I was looking for a salon close to home and found Maggie’s. I came in with blue hair and although my hair had been overprocessed Maggie took good care of me and I walked out with beautiful dark brown hair and nice subtle highlights. My hair cut was also amazing!
