First off I want to say that the point of my review is not to bash the way my hair looked like leaving Ciela’s Hair Salon. This review is about her professionalism and horrible time management skills. My appointment was booked for 10am this morning, for a 3 hour session for a color and cut. However I will add that the before and after photos she texted me is not what my hair looked like when I walked in. She heavily saturated the before photo to make it look like my hair was Crayola Crayon orange which only solidifies the point of this review. I arrived at 10am for a bleach and toner, she called it, “icy blonde”. She quoted me $120-140 when I first came in for a consultation on a different day, this was to include color, cut, and blow dry. My appointment began at 10am and I had to rush out of there at 3:30pm, without a hair cut. It took her 4hrs just to foil my hair. At 2pm I told her that I had to pick up my son from daycare at 4pm no exceptions. I also made her aware that his school is in Broomfield, it was heavily snowing. She had her daughter with her so I assumed she understood how schools work with picking up by closing time. So 2pm she brought me to the rinse chair to add the toner. This is a 20-25min max process, however it took her over an hour. Finally it was 3:05pm when she was done rinsing my hair out and I told her there’s no way I have time for her to cut and dry my hair. She actually insisted that I ask a friend to pick my son up from daycare for me. I told her forget the haircut I had to go. I tried to leave but she insisted that she needed an after photo of my hair for her advertising. She acted as if she was doing me a favor so I needed to have someone else get my kid because the photo was important. I’m not sure what favor she was doing for me when I was paying her $160. Never in my entire life has a stylist taken 5.5 hours to color my hair! Had she said something like, “I’m sorry but I can’t seem to get the color just right you’ll have to come back for another color” (as this can often be the case when going very light)… I would have said great fine, because anyone with kids should understand that picking up your kid from daycare is priority. How she could not understand that is beyond me. And then she really has the nerve to send me a manually saturated orange before photo as if that’s what my hair really looked like upon arrival is really sad. Horrible ethics at this place! I paid the $160 as fast as I could and unfortunately was still late to pick up my son so I had to pay an additional $15 for that. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
