I had a great time, Dereck was talking a lot, with the other barbers as well, for me nice and interesting, for others maybe a bit to much (was most likely because I was very early and we had lots of time). The cut was great, i showed him some pictures, he understood very fast what I wanted and tried his best, made it fit towards my head! Music was nice and the shop is very comfy. Would go again!

Update: the last time I went here the barber was a no-show after I arrived and no one else could take me. The time before that I got one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had (uneven fade, extreme “V” shape in the back). Unfortunate trend to see at a place that had been so consistently on point.

JC is hands down one of the best barbers in SF. Great cuts and always a pleasure to chat with. I moved to SF a year ago and lost my incredible stylist in NYC. I recently landed in SF and needed to find a new go to for my haircuts. I went with Church based off the good reviews, but sort of rolled the dice by taking first appointment available with someone I couldn’t find any reviews for (Tristan, who recently started there). Well I lucked out on both fronts! The shop had great vibes and I loved the playlists and sound system – I felt right at home. And Tristan did an incredible job with my hair–it’s the best it has looked since I started wearing it long again. I plan to go back to him in a few months before my wedding to get the same cut. Thanks guys!

Best cut I’ve had in SF! I’ve gone a few other places but this was great. Staff were excellent and the style and vibes were on point. This is not of a problem with sf in general but all the haircuts are expensive in this city. This will be the most worthwhile you can find in my opinion
