Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI have been to Christos African Hair braiding twice and I have decided this is the only shop I will go to in the future.This is the first braiding shop I have been to that hasn’t left me in pain! My braids are very neat but without the tension and headache. The shop is very clean and organized. The ladies here are friendly and the overall vibe is welcoming. I recommend this shop to anyone that will listen. Not only do I love my braids, I genuinely enjoy my experience at this shop. I have been to Christos African Hair braiding twice and I have decided this is the only shop I will go to in the future.This is the first braiding shop I have been to that hasn’t left me in pain! My braids are very neat but without the tension and headache. The shop is very clean and organized. The ladies here are friendly and the overall vibe is welcoming. Critical: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI was not pleased with the way they did my hair. I will say that Christo was not there it was her sisters and this was my first time and last time there. I made an appointment a week in advance I showed her the hairstyle I wanted and was told they could do it. When I got there they were there but not in the shop. Once we got got in the shop it was not that clean and it took them 45 mins just to prep. Now I know what I asked for and kept on asking can you do this hairstyle they said yes and as she’s braiding I could literally feel that she not doing what I asked for. What I asked for should have been 2hrs or less it took 6 or 7 hrs never again. I got more braids than I wanted and they could not do the style that I requested and instead of saying that and we talk about what else they could do they did what they wanted and to make matters worst they told me this style was better and would last longer but it cost me more and I did not like it. I did not want 1000 braids in my head. Doesn’t take away the fact they they can braid hair just don’t stray from box braids as it seems that all they can do or cornrows which is what I asked for and got something else. I was not pleased with the way they did my hair. I will say that Christo was not there it was her sisters and this was my first time and last time there. I made an appointment a week in advance I showed her the hairstyle I wanted and was told they could do it. When I got there they were there but not in the shop. Once we got got in the shop it was not that clean and it took them 45 mins just to prep. Now I know what I asked for and kept on asking can you do this hairstyle they said yes and as she’s braiding I could literally feel that she not doing what I asked for. First time reviewer here. I only went to Christo’s to get my hair braided but left there with a new frame of mind. This lady is so inspirational, uplifting, and left a lasting impression on me. I only went to get my hair braided but left there wondering how I can get this lady to be my life coach.
