Pete Lamden is an ICON. This man has a vision- trust it! I’ve never seen my boyfriend look so handsome and feel this confident in his hair. He has beautiful, thick hair that grows OUT and UP and Pete taught him how to cleanse, style, and maintain it. His friendly and genuine personality immediately puts you at ease. My color was fantastic! My cut was quick (10ish min, with bowdry)… not much was done, but she was very nice. I think I was late getting to her. Also, a bit of a peeve of mine… employees chewing gum, with their mouths open.. it’s my own issue, but still kinda yuck. I’ll give it one more try, though.

SO disappointed, I spend a lot of time and money on my hair. I have been growing it out for three years and I have gone to several stylists to have it shaped and colored. All of the colorist seems to do what they want with my hair. I was very excited when someone recommended Chris McMillan’s Salon to me. I must admit I was concerned about the expense but figured it was worth it because they are rated so high. I made an appointment for a color and they talked me in to getting it cut there to. The color is finally the way I want it and it turned out GREAT! Carol is the best colorist I ever meet. When I made the appointment I told the guy o the phone I would only need a trim for split ends because I just got my cut a few weeks ago. He told me they would do the trim for $75.00 and it included a trim and style. He told me I could have it for that price because they were already going to wash and condition my hair when they colored it. Robert, a very nice guy, trimmed the length and shaped my hair and it does look better. However, he didn’t even trim my sideburns, around my ears or my neck. Were they rushed to get me out of the chair to get their regular customer in it? YES they were. Needless to say, they charged me $350.00 for a so called cut/trim and color. I was told the color would be $120.00 and the cut $75.00. I feel like I got taken and the good service is reserved for their regular clients and they aren’t interested in getting new ones. But at that price why would they. I would go back for a color again but never a cut………it was a rip off.

I’ve been a customer at this salon for at least 3 years and I’m amazed at how little they value their customers. Bad haircuts, cancelled appointments by either stylists or colorists, broken equipment…it’s no wonder they always seem to be empty. But if this is the case, why can’t they do so much as keep your appointment when they call you to confirm your appointment the day before?
