Skye is incredible!!! I travel from DC to get my hair done by her. There isn’t anyone else I will let touch it. I went in for a balayage appointment and a cut, my nerves were kind of high. I had a bad highlight done in 2006 at another salon and since then I haven’t put any color in my hair. Skye really assured me that it would work out. She walked me through the entire color process and recommended a color profile for me. I was so happy with her choice!! The cut was also phenomenal. Skye then walked me through how to maintain it and recommended the right products for my type of hair. She also cuts my husband’s hair. His hair is very thick and heavy. She knows exactly how to cut it, and thin it out so he can coif it the way he likes. He also doesn’t let anyone else touch it! Skye is the best!!!

Went to see Richard for an updated color & he did not disappoint!! He dyed my roots & glossed my ends & the color came out exactly how I envisioned it to be. Throughout the whole experience he was comforting & thorough in his work while also being a great conversationalist. The whole salon is filled with great energy from the ambiance to the staff. I followed her to Chop Maplewood which is actually a really cute, fun, and comfortable salon that is judgement free. Also loved the salon products and purchased some for home. The salon itself is beautiful, well kept & conveniently located in the heart of downtown Maplewood. The entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. My stylist, Kaylee, is so talented and makes my hair look like a million bucks no matter what she does to it. She makes the entire process seamless, comfortable & fun – something that can often be hard to find especially in this area. I discovered this place through Instagram and I decided to give it a try and since then, I became a regular client. They really do a wonderful job, and they do a great badalage – Danielle is my favorite. Everybody is really nice and always try to adapt and accommodate to my very busy schedule, which is great, I could not be more happy.
