I came to this place to have a regular manicure that started peeling in less than a day. I called to complain being I know a regular manicure should last longer than 1 day. The person I spoke to said they could fix it but when I went back, all they could say was that they couldn’t guarantee how much that manicure would last. I guess they don’t care about keeping the loyalty of their customers. I will never be back to this place again. Cheap work/products, awful customer service. The pictures show the manicure after only 2 days.

Fastest manicure of my life- the place wasn’t even busy and she acted like she had 50 people waiting on her. She only did 2 coats of polish and then basically treated the top coat like the cuticle liquid and just plopped it on my nails. Then as my sister was paying another worker comes up to me asking for her tip? For a $15 manicure I wasn’t expecting the works but this was just the most ridiculous experience.

I’ve been going to this salon for years mostly due to the walk-in convenience. I have noticed questionable sanitation practices (i.e., reusing instruments between customers only after briefly spraying them in front of me and immediately wiping with gauze). They would bring in a new sterile package a few times only upon request. Today, again, they reused the instruments after superficially “cleaning” them as above, and, unfortunately, 4 of my fingers were cut and bleeding. I am extremely concerned for my health now and definitely will NOT return. The technician apparently was not even new. When I brought up my concerns, I was told my skin is dry and they take no responsibility for what happened. They also didn’t have an explanation as to their questionable tools sanitation practices.

Wanted to share my most recent experience at chocolate spa and nails. Over the years the service and quality has gone down dramatically. But this time they were endangering our lives. The technician giving the pedicure did not use fresh clippers. When asked if she could please get clean clippers. She instantly had an attitude. It took her several minutes to even find fresh clippers. It was the worst manicure ever. I suggest people stop going. I will definitely alert the board of health.

This shop is terrible, that don’t speak English. I got a pedicure and the tech did not even file my nails, they were crooked and I asked her if she was finished and she said yes. My pedicure took ten minutes and each time I said something to her she said “ no understand”. I am done with the nail salon in Middletown, back to the city I go. The prices are cheaper and the people speak English. Terrible service, don’t waist your time or money. You won’t be satisfied.

I used to love coming to this nail sap but over the years it has declined. My last 3 visits were horrible. I had appointments every time and I had to wait 1+hours as they took walk ins with no appointments before me. Very rude staff and crazy expensive now. Gel manicures peeled off within a few days as well. Last time I was told I must tip at least 30% and was harassed until I gave more money for a tip. Will never be back again.

Very nice looking establishment at first glance but the staff are rude and demanding. You better be prepared to tip NO LESS than 20% otherwise they will follow you towards the ATM demanding you withdrawal 20% of the amount you paid for an overpriced poor and rushed service. My boyfriend and I got dream spa pedicures [far from being a Dream Spa] WITHOUT nail polish, paid $90 and tipped $10, I guess it wasn’t enough because she demanded a higher tip more….SMH, I will never return.

Was charged for a design/ pedicure that kept smudging as tech did the work. Was told by manager to come in next day to fix for free and waited 48 minutes to be told to fix my design it would be $5 extra. No accountability for the fact that I had to leave with a smudged pedicure the night before due to them closing, and then the next day I didn’t get my pedicure fixed because I refused to let them charge me another $5 for their mistake. I also had the receipt for service. Also note, they were fixing a woman’s nails that was messed up for the 3rd time that week. I had my apprehensions about this place but this confirmed it. Steer clear!

Very nice looking establishment at first glance but the staff are rude and demanding. You better be prepared to tip extra generous otherwise they will follow you demanding you tip. There were three of us. I paid for all and tipped for myself(others were tipping for themselves), the tech told me I was wrong and wrote what I should tip on the back of the receipt! The other tech stood behind my daughter saying “tip, tip, tip.” Never again!!! They just lost 3 customers!
