Nice folks working here. I called last minute after another stylist stood me up and they were able to accommodate within an hour! The lady who washed my hair did a good job but she didn’t know how to blow dry at all. My hair came out beautiful! My husband can’t keep his hands off me. Lol. Looking forward to my next visit.

One of the stylists started out nice. I asked for lace micro braids I instructed her to make sure it was full,yes it looked full because of the hair was bushy she sprayed very little water on it and said oh yeah there’s some curls she didn’t cut any of the extra long pieces not shape or nothing but I was told a different amount than I was told . What I’m really mad about is the braids are so spaced out it looks like I’m bald… too bad I can’t get my money back… never again

I have to say that at first I wasn’t happy with my experience at chic but as soon as the owner found out I wasn’t happy she jumped right in and said what can I do to makeup for whatever happened because she wants everyone to be pleased when they leave her salon she offered to redo my hair to my liking and when I didn’t make my appointment right away she called me to find out when I was coming in she ended up calling me several times before I got my braids redone… I have to say I was really pleased with all the attention she gave to me you can’t find too many people that will go all out the way that she did.. I’m pleased to say that I will go back again real soon she’s one of a kind.. thank you chic

I was disappointed at first but I talk to owner about braid she was a beautiful and understanding lady she told me to stay and she fix I told I couldn’t stay she told me to come back when I can I came back 2 days later and another young lady took care of me no questions ask and did them the way it was suppose to be done very professional so I give this shop 100 stars thank you all y’all other owner need to take lesson from them Thanks chic loving my hair

I went to their new location in Frederick, MD. The owner met me there. She was so nice and professional. I am IN LOVE with my passion twists. She was so gentle I literally fell asleep in my chair several times. We took little breaks so I could stretch my legs. I even met her parents who stopped by to see the new location. I’ll definitely go back and I’ll start bringing my daughter as well.

If your time doesn’t matter, this is the place for you. I made an appointment at 8:00am. I understand that normally hairdressers don’t start on time. But I waited 45 minutes for them to start on my hair. (This is very unprofessional)…. But, moving on…… The girl walked in, had to eat first and then she started doing my hair. The messed up thing about this whole situation is that I was the first person at the location out of four ladies that showed up for an 8:00 am appointment and I was the last person to leave. But, moving on…. Maybe 30 minutes into her starting my hair, she stops and starts doing somebody else hair because they have a birthday party. THAT’S NOT MY PROBLEM!!!! THAT PERSON COULD HAVE WAITED JUST LIKE YOU FELT I SHOULD WAIT. (ONCE AGAIN, UNPROFESSIONAL). So… I reached out to the owner via text and she had the audacity to tell me two of her hair braiders called out. (ONCE AGAIN, NOT MY PROBLEM). You could have had her wait until someone else came in to do her hair. But you felt the need to have your braider stop doing my hair and go elsewhere. (UNPROFESSIONAL). But, moving on…. Another braider shows up and finish braiding out the 10 braids the previous braider put in my head. Obviously, this girl didn’t know how to do knotless braids because after braiding the 10 braids to the tip she went over to help the girl that left me sitting there. Keep in mind, I’m still waiting as they’re finishing up this other girl. But, moving on…. After about an hour, she decides to come back over and finish my hair. When she’s at the finish line with my hair, another girl walks in the door to get her braids done, and this braider stops braiding my hair to prep this other girl for her braids. Then decides to come back to me to finish and release me from this FREAKING NIGHTMARE. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had in my freaking life at a hair braiding salon. I will never in a million years give them any more of my money. I had several women I was going to refer to this location, but that’s not happening now.

At first I thought it was because I washed my hair the same day that was why I had some soreness. Now that I take a look a couple day laters I have this redness and swelling happening. During the braiding process it was generally well. However, I became extremely uncomfortable and had some pain when she was running the crotchet through. I was sucking in the seat at times because it was uncomfortable and the hair dresser said she had to cover the front. The next two days I took tylenol extra strength because my head was hurting. I had a severe headache when they finished the style the day of. Although she did a good job in the appearance and the price was okay I don’t think I will be returning. If you can see in photo there is clear swelling and redness. Also you can see the braids highly pulling on my baby hairs. Especially when you braid baby hairs this tight you can take them off. This is how women lose their edges. All I can do is pray to God I don’t lose my edges from this experience and if I do through Gods grace and love that they grow back.

Got a severe allergy from my braids. Didn’t happened before and I ask for light weight and my braids were pulling my whole skull off .
