Alaina was awesome, so bummed to learn she is no longer there so when I was scheduling with Stephanie I wasn’t worried. Cheveux is a nice place in Zionsville, there are high expectations for an establishment like this. My confidence quickly diminishes during the consultation. I don’t want to hurt the stylist feelings but long story short the owner was fully aware she was inexperienced and not ready for clients with texture or short hairstyle. All I wanted was an inverted bob, one length. Knowing Stephanie was inexperienced the owner did not supervise or come over to check the quality or precision of the style. I don’t know where Stephanie trained but her lack of basic knowledge was surprisingly. This poor girl was shaking like a leaf cutting my hair. I tried to be kind, supportive, I know what it’s like to be learning and completely out of your depth. Unaware of just how green this women was I called to inform the owner of my experience and that my hair was uneven. She then confessed Stephanie needs more training and had no business doing my hair and offered to fix it. I was unable to go back because of scheduling issues, luckily my mom who is visiting was able to fix it, she is a retired hairdresser. It was pretty bad but could have been worse. I decided to write this review because I’m just disappointed. Iv been going there for a while and surprised that someone with so little knowledge about hair would be let lose on unexpected clients.
