Critical: ProfessionalismMy husband went Saturday & they told him to come back the next day their hours are 10am – 4pm. He showed up at 2pm and NO ONE was there. He called and messaged and nobody answered. He waited for an hour giving this business the benefit of the doubt that maybe they went to get some food. At almost 3:30 pm he started driving to find another location. He got a call at 4pm saying someone will be back at the shop at 4pm. How they got his number? No idea if there wasn’t anyone at the shop and wasn’t there yet. The barber did not Blend whatsoever on the haircut it looks bald then a line. Not only this but he told him not to touch the beard only line it up. The barber started trimming his beard and my husband got mad and told him to stop and asked what he was doing to which the barber only responded “my bad” his beard now has patches and is half cut because the barber messed it up so bad he looks like a kid that can’t grow facial hair yet. did i mention the barber took TWO entire hours with him? Not a single person else there. Not only this the owner was super unprofessional and blaming my husband for not making an appointment. When they told him he could walk in. We understand appointments are pretty much the go to now and back in STL all he would do was make appointments. But we just moved here, with a huge move and his old barber being out of town and no hair cut in almost a month he just wanted a cut and would start scheduling again once we were settled. This is an unprofessional place my husband got there at 2 ok and didn’t get home until 6:30 pm. I would not recommend this or any of the other locations. My husband went Saturday & they told him to come back the next day their hours are 10am – 4pm. He showed up at 2pm and NO ONE was there. He called and messaged and nobody answered. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWhen I got to San Diego it took me a while to find a good barber. This shop has it together. If you want a down to earth atmosphere. A great cut in a professional establishment,If I could rate them higher I errod. Chess Cutz is the place, Jazz is an excellent Barber and the shop is down home.

I found a home to get my haircuts since they have good barber’s and I got my hair cut with DJ and Jazz. Jazz been cutting my hair since. He’s a tremendous barber like the rest of the employees that Chess has on board. I came to this barbershop in 2016 when I was seeking a good barber. I found a home to get my haircuts since they have good barber’s and I got my hair cut with DJ and Jazz. Jazz been cutting my hair since. He’s a tremendous barber like the rest of the employees that Chess has on board.
