I have been going to Chequers for over a year and have experienced nothing but an excellent cut and a wonderful experience. Joyce, the shop owner, cuts my hair. During my first visit, she listened and took notes as to the kind of hair style I wanted, and she gets it right every time. She is on schedule and courteous and friendly. We always have a good discussion about various topics. The small, boutique shop is clean, well lighted and easy to find. In my opinion, she works best with teens and up. not as well with kids. I highly recommend Chequers Hair Studio as a place to try. Michael

I recently became a new client at Chequers and I wish I had found them sooner! Small and cozy, so you always get the best service. Joyce did a fantastic job on my haircut and color (the haircut I received at my last salon was horrendous), and was so pleasant to talk to. Olivia was so gentle when waxing my eyebrows that I almost fell asleep! I will definitely go back to get my hair done by Joyce again, and can’t wait to schedule a facial with Olivia.

Joyce has colored and styled my hair for almost 20 years. She does a fantastic job with the color and has always cut my hair so that I do not have to fuss with it. I have followed her as she has opened her own business over the years and always enjoy going for my monthly appointment to chat and relax. Joyce is pretty much a SUPER HERO when it comes to hair. She saved my hair! I was in bad bad shape. She spent the time to consult about what my options were, did multiple test strips, and ended up SAVING my hair. I’m so glad I found this salon, everyone is super friendly and just flat out amazing. Unfortunately I have moved since I saw her originally, but I am more than happy to make the hour drive to see her for my next visit, because ITS WORTH IT. Good prices and they care about their clients. Try the tint for your eyebrows and lashes, I love it!

I moved to Lafayette three years ago and have been going to Joyce for a year now. I went through three salons before I discovered Chequers. I was almost in tears after I left…I was so happy!
