Chatham Hair Stylists is a traditional barber shop (barber pole included) but with a modern touch. Located right off Main Street with generous 2 hour free public parking in the lot behind. They now accept appointments which eliminates waiting and is particularly convenient for me since I am only able to get there on the weekend. You’ll get to know Hector, the proprietor, as soon as you walk in. He seems to know everyone in town and you’ll soon enjoy talking to him too. (He’s an expert on sports by the way.) He keeps the shop in great shape and continually upgrades both the barber chairs and the seating if you need to wait. He pays attention to your needs whatever your style. He’s also great with children and families. Highly recommended.

Went for a haircut. The place was busy. Not sure if the lady didn’t hear what I said or ignored me. She proceeded to give me a buzz cut which I didn’t ask for. I haven’t had a buzz in a long time and when she started there was no turning back, but I accepted it and we continued. When I got home I was able to notice how many spots she missed. I had to go to another barber to fix it. The hair cut with her was $22. The second barber didn’t charge me so I will now be going to him instead of Chatham Hair Styles.
