Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueWriting this review is a very happy and emotional process for me. Before COVID hit, I was a regular at the wonderful Charisma Salon. I have always felt like a part of the Charisma family. COVID came, and we moved to Santa Cruz, away from the Bay Area. I tried coming in when they were open for a short time, but the COVID closure only left a small window, and I was on the East Coast. Over a year after my last pre-COVID visit I finally had the opportunity to come back because I had a client in Menlo Park. I drove by the old location and was almost in tears when the place was empty. I feared the worst!! Thankfully I searched on Google, and they had only moved! Still in business!!! As a fellow business owner, this felt like such a wonderful sigh of relief. All of us service businesses have been through the works in 2020, but the beauty industry has been hit particularly hard. I went to the new location and was greeted with such enthusiasm, and I was taken care of in a way no other nail salon ever does. In Santa Cruz I haven’t been able to find the same experience. It’s not just the wonderful and friendly customer service, the nice looking decor and atmosphere, but above all it is the special technique Duc uses for his gel / acrylic nails. I can’t find anybody else in my new town! I will be coming back to Charism Salon as often as I can. There is no place like it. I am so glad the salon made it through this awful year. I made a point to pay them double for their services, even though it won’t even come close to helping recover the COVID damage.
