I live in Duluth and I am a regular at Cedar and Stone. I love their community sessions on Sunday, and not just because the price is right. I really enjoy meeting the people who show up to these sessions, many of whom are from out of town. I love the different things that Cedar and Stone does throughout the seasons—cold water buckets for dousing in the warmer months and an ice sauna in the winter. The tea they brew for each session and the fire outside is lovely. The hosts are all incredibly kind and passionate about sauna. I love sauna and, while I would love to have one in my house, I think I would still come back to Cedar and Stone on the regular because of the community vibe and the amenities, and the lake view through their big windows and out by the fire is like a spiritual tonic. I hope Cedar and Stone continues to expand their community session offerings and I would love to see a punch card/loyalty program (or better yet, membership options) for those of us who are regular patrons and enthusiastic supporters

So Relaxing! This was my first time ever doing an authentic sauna session. The guide (Steve) at Cedar and Stone was so informative and helpful! I was a little nervous about being too hot, but being able to freely go in and out of the sauna was wonderful, and actually very therapeutic. I liked having a variety of beverages (ice water, electrolyte water and tea) to sip on and the essential oils added to the stones were heavenly. I highly recommend!

What a unique experience. My sister and I booked an appointment and we weren’t exactly sure what to expect. We don’t have a lot of sauna experience but our guide explained everything and walked us through how to get the most of our experience. We even were able to dip our toes into Lake Superior to cool down in between sessions. I’d highly recommend for a relaxing day with a beautiful view! You’ll feel great afterwards too.

Many thanks to Molly for a great experience. What a fantastic set-up and a nice balance of hot and cold. Duluth favored us with 3 inches of fresh snow to play in which made it even more fun. This is such a wonderful location looking out on the big lake. Absolutely unforgettable part of our girls’ weekend.

What an awesome experience! Rosie was such a great host and made the time really fun, plus informative on how to make the most of the sauna. We did the sauna as part of a girl’s weekend and it was a blast. The aroma therapy was awesome with the water on the hot stones. I did opt for the run down to Lake Superior for a cool down dip and if I had anything to improve, it would be the getting in and out of the lake. It was a bit challenging since it is all rock at the entry point, I had two people to help me out (don’t go alone!). It was an adventure and I would highly recommend this (I’ll for sure go back!)

Such a cool experience! Never thought I liked saunas or cold water being poured over me but it was just the thing to relax my mind and body after a big wedding weekend! Enjoyed every minute of it!

Best experience ever! The sauna itself was so lovely and relaxing and the staff were fantastic. The inside of the sauna was beautiful, with multiple levels of seating so you could choose how warm you wanted to be. The tea was so good we had to take home a tin for ourselves. The staff even gave us an extra cup to-go. Highly recommend the whole experience

We had a great time taking a Sauna at Cedar and stone. Our guide was helpful and informative, but left us to Sauna by ourselves for the majority of the experience. The sauna is beautiful and in a cool setting down on Canal Park in Duluth. They had yummy electrolyte water, clean towels, a fire pit, and cool water that you can pull a cord to dunk yourself. I recommend changing beforehand into your swimsuit. The room they provide to change in the next door hotel is not as nice as the rest of the experience (but great that they offer a space for changing!). Also know that there’s not much privacy, which is part of the fun but good to know ahead of time. Canal Park tourists will be milling around. Really cool experience and a very chill, friendly, and high quality vibe! Slept like a baby that night!

Great experience while visiting Duluth. Big sauna lover and this sauna is in a prime location in Canal Park near Superior. Very special experience cold plunging into Superior as well – definitely recommend!! The session guide was extremely kind and friendly and loved sharing tips. Only reason I only gave it 4 stars is due to the cost. Quite expensive and wish there were price breaks for group sessions as you mostly book “private sessions”.
