This place is a hidden gem! I love that you can book online and prices are clearly posted online and in the salon. I had a deluxe pedicure and a gel full set and both services were amazing. I have very small nails that are difficult to work with so I was nervous about trying a new place. The salon was very clean and staff was polite and efficient. I will definitely be going back and recommending this to others.

The place is called Cava Nail Spa. There was nothing spa like about it. I made 2 appointments for 10:30am. I showed up a little bit early, which is better for me as they also had 8 other appointments scheduled for the same time. I have been getting my nails done for years. This is the worst I’ve had in a long time. I was overcharged for services that were not close to near spa like. I am 4 days out from my dip nails and it looks like I haven’t been in 2wks. Not acceptable!

Decided to try a new salon & chose Cava for the luxurious interior & photos on Google. I was pleased with the customer service & my experience overall, but the end result of my acrylic set was less than satisfactory. From the top my set looks okay, but upon further inspection it’s totally jacked to put it lightly. Multiple nails had to be redone, & they’re not consistent as a result. I will be returning to give another stylist a shot, but i recommend nitpicking to ensure youre happy and get what you want.

The inside is beautiful and clean. I got the $40 pedicure with gel polish. The staff were friendly including the woman who did my pedicure but I think she was a newer employee. During the pedicure I had a stinging feeling on my right foot and saw a red scratch but didn’t say anything. The picture with the scratches is where I felt the stinging feeling…I know the place is fairly new so I might give it another try.

I moved to Ledyard last spring and spent about 6 months looking for a nail place that would do exactly what I asked and had a nail tech that I could see regularly. I have been getting nail enhancements for a little over 20 years and have grown to be pretty picky about my nails. Other places I tried in the area would either make the gel overlay too thick or wide, not give me the shape or length I asked for, wouldn’t do a simple deep French right, or would try to charge for services that were not actually provided. I also wasn’t able to see the same tech regularly at other places, despite making appointments well in advance, asking for the tech by name and booking during their scheduled shifts.

If a nail salon is offering any style they should know how to do it, I wanted to get a white and Green hombre on my nails let me tell you it was crazy looking ! I had to literally tell him to redo the whole entire thing. He was a little annoyed that he had to redo it but it wasn’t what I paid for, I would say they only know how to do 50% of what they advertise. I also made an appointment and had to still wait 35 minutes, yeah I went there about three times but I’m like I’m all set that initial mess up on my nails was it for me (then you would’ve thought he would’ve took off for having me to wait another hour to get my nails done right still charge me full price )
