Catalaya Salon is a fantastic place to get a haircut or even a massage. They treated me with care and listened to all my details on how my hair works. Caitlyn worked on my hair and it came out great! The second time I went, I asked her to just cut how she would think it would look good. She was amazing. She cut it a certain way that created so that my hair looked better than any other time. She also gives amazing massages. Her fingers are magical. The place is very relaxing and peaceful where you can unwind and succumb to relaxation. The prices were also very competitive to other places that I have been.

I have been going to catalaya for a couple of months. My hair was damaged, weak, and thin. Ryan has been helping my hair come back to life!!! My hair was to the point where I could dye and add extensions. He gave me all the knowledge I needed to know about my extensions. My hair feels amazing, and I feel confident!! I took our daughters there for cuts. The following morning after doing their hair, we realized that the cuts were noticeably uneven. I went ahead and cancelled my appointment for Friday and let them know of the issue. Their response was “We appreciate your input, however you allowed your girls to decide for themselves what they wanted. We didn’t see you check their haircuts or state that you were unhappy before leaving our salon. Moreover, Ryan sectioned off each of your children’s haircuts. From what I observed at checkout, the girls were happy.” Putting the blame on me because I didn’t inspect their cuts… I trusted that going to a salon would provide a salon quality cut. If I wanted great clips quality I would have went there (no offense). I understand things happen, but for them to put the blame on me because I didn’t inspect it blows my mind. Poor management. There wasn’t any offer to bring them in to correct the issue. Very disappointed.

Mona does an amazing job. I had my first Brazilian by her and I won’t go to anyone else. She makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The salon itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. Everything is clean and the prices can’t be beat.

My experience was almost exactly the same as “Google User” who reviewed 7 months ago, right down to the description of the stylist. I agree with that reviewer, that the salon floor was very dirty looking, but I think it was because it needs painting, not because it hadn’t been swept. I also want to add that in the 3 hours I was at the salon, not one other person came in for a hair appointment, only nail services. Apparently, the salon owner hasn’t learned how to deal with unhappy clients in that 7 months. Like the previous reviewer, I was told my appointment would take 1 1/2 hours. Almost 4 hours later I was still in the stylist’s chair and my hair was a complete disaster. The cut was all wrong and nothing like the picture I had given the stylist (who assured me she could do the cut and it would look great on me). The highlights were terrible and not the color I asked for at all. I lost all faith in the stylist and decided I didn’t want to let her “fix it”, as she offered to do. The salon owner was less than accommodating and seemed to have no concern for my situation. Her only concern was to back her employee and seemed to not care at all about finding a solution to the problem. I walked out, $115 poorer (after I had been talked into an upcharge) and nothing but a mess to show for it. I went back to my usual stylist, who was able to shape the awful haircut into something I could live with until it grew out. Unfortunately, not only did the Catalaya stylist give me the wrong color highlights, she also left the product on too long, which resulted in my hair being damaged, so I had to pay for conditioning treatments and wait for 2 weeks to have all over color, then highlights, to get my hair back into shape. So, the money I spent to have my hair cut and highlighted tripled because the Catalaya stylist didn’t listen to what I asked for and didn’t pay attention to what she was doing. Lesson learned. I have spoken to other salon owners who told me they would NEVER let a client leave their salon unhappy, no matter what the cost to the salon. Obviously, the owner of Catalaya Salon doesn’t believe in that philosophy.
