Full disclosure… I have been using the same salon in South Shore Harbor for 20+ years and I had no intention on switching salons. Today my daughter and I decided to use Carpe Diem as they are closer to our home and it was a spur of the moment decision as we were driving by. I’m so glad we did! We both had shellac mani’s and deluxe pedi’s. This was by far the BEST pedicure experience we both have ever had. My tech was Yen and my daughters was Johnny. Both of them were so meticulous and took their time on us, mind you it’s a Saturday. I usually never go on a Saturday because we always feel rushed as salons are busy. Not here. Yen and Johnny made us feel so relaxed and not rushed at all. We were both falling asleep in our chairs! This whole experience was perfection and when it comes to my nail salons I’m very picky. Carpe Diem is very clean, meticulous and customer service was superb! They have now found a new customer in me, we will definitely be returning! If you’re in this area give these new owners a shot, you wont be disappointed!

DIRTY!! 1st and last time here. came in for pedi and everywhere I look is filth. when she drained the water it smelled like sewer so she sprayed perfume in the air to help it but it was awful. I had to ask for her to clean under my nails- she was literally trying to just soak and paint and charge $32.

This salon is clean, efficient and has great customer service. I drive a good distance to come here. Yen is the absolute BEST and goes the extra mile for her clients. Pedicure is great, she wants you to feel relaxed. I get dip powder with a tip and it lasts me 3 weeks. I definitely recommend this salon if you want to go somewhere to relax and be treated.
