Barber has decent skills but failed to listen when I expressed to not touch my beard or face which he didn’t listen or remember. The shop was pretty messy but the service aspect was decent. The barber holds a good conversation and even at shift end accepted 2 more cuts as opposed to closing and denying them which I think is pretty great.

I always take my son here to get his hair cut. The first time he cut my son’s hair, my son was walking around with his friends, he needed a haircut badly. The barber offered my then 14 year old son a free haircut. I was amazed that anyone would be so kind. So when he need his hair cut again I had my son show me where he had received his haircut. I have been taking him there since. He gets a great cut, lots of stories, jokes and a super friendly barber that treats everyone like he’s known them forever. I love going to his shop. I never know how long we will be there, but it’s always a great time and awesome haircut. My moody 16 year old actually comes out smiling. Great place I highly recommend it.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact my boyfriend has FINALLY found a new barber since we moved to Springfield… which was over a year ago. He has tried every place possible and was never satisfied with the cut or the environment and employees were boring. We came across Carlyles today and it was exactly what he was looking for and Doug is amazing at what he does and has the personality to make you wanna come back. So we definitely will!
