This is a great little place in Belmont with very fair pricing and no nonsense. Yes Carlos came from Dominican Republic in the middle of the pandemic to open his store and has a countryman also working with him and another from Venezuela. Great guys.

Came in to have my sides cleaned up and faded after another barber totally screwed up my hair by using a 2 all around. As a new customer, Carlos made sure he knew exactly what I wanted and frequently checked in to see if I was happy. I’ve been to many great barbers all across Boston but no other had the attention to detail as Carlos did. He gave me the cleanest fade I’ve ever gotten and carefully finished it off with a straight blade on the edges. He could charge double the price for the quality and time he put into it. Thanks Carlos

I have to say their skill is decent, clean and detailed cut. The stores is nice and comfortable. The price is affordable. However, my barber Juan (?) speaks almost no English at all and he relies on Carlos for translation, which makes it difficult to communicate to him what I want. And when I asked for their advice on which hair style to choose, they just spoke in Spanish to each other and got into work without telling me what they were gonna do. Eventually I got a clean but not nice and stylish haircut. So I guess they would be a great choice if you either know exactly what you want or you speak Spanish. Great technique but customer service needs a lot of improvement so it is a no come back for me.

hands down the best barbershop in the watertown/belmont area. ive been to so many barbershops that just want you in and out. the quality has gone down. However, Carlos’ Barber Shop was the best. The attention to detail, friendliness, and experience was the best ive ever had.
