Positive: Cleanliness, ProfessionalismTara did another great job coloring my hair, and I have now taken both of my daughters to her to get their hair done. Each time, Tara was super friendly, and she took the time to discuss what we wanted, asked if we had pictures as examples, and then added her expertise and advice, so that we were in agreement with what she’s going to do.This time, I wanted to cover my grays and go back to my original dark brunette hair color. I love the color, and left feeling ten years younger.When I took my oldest daughter last month on her 20th birthday to get her brunette hair lightened for the first time, she wanted a blonde balayage treatment. Tara made the experience a great one, and styled her hair beautifully with a blow out and some wavy curls.The next day, my daughter noticed that after she washed her hair, some red tones appeared that she didn’t care for. We called the Salon, and Tara immediately found an appointment time for my daughter. Once we got there, Tara treated us with the same friendliness as every other time. She wasn’t upset or defensive about the color changes in my daughter’s hair….and she again talked to my daughter about what needed to be done to fix it. She also didn’t charge us an additional fee to correct her hair color. Tara made it right with the absolutely best response possible towards us as her clients. My daughter loves her new hair color, and it looks very natural.Tara was professional and kind about fixing the issue so that my daughter loved her new hair color. There was zero awkwardness, which is why I was happy to return today with my younger daughter.My younger daughter, who is blond, also requested a blonde balayage from Tara. As she has gotten older, her blonde hair darkens in the winter, and gets lighter in the summer. The balayage treatment is great because it looks very natural, and lasts a long time because the darker roots that grow in blend in easily with the rest of her hair.For my recent appointment, and for both my daughters’ appointments, Tara took her time, and really made us feel like we getting our “spa” day. We are all so busy. I am a working mom, and my daughters are both students at OSU. We really appreciated Tara taking her time, and making our appointments a relaxing treat.I also think that in today’s stressful world it is important to take care of yourself and do whatever you can to feel good about yourself.A hair appointment is a big deal for most of us because it directly affects how we feel about ourselves.In addition, the salon recently got new chairs and stations, and looks even better than it did at my first appointment. There is always upbeat music playing, and I notice that the other stylists are just as friendly with their clients as Tara is with us.Lastly, Canvas Salon continues to have very reasonable prices. After coming up with the plan for our hair, at each appointment Tara told me exactly what the cost was going to be BEFORE she started working. This is super important to me, because I do not want to be surprised at the end with a higher price for services that I did not know about.
