Even while I worked at a tanning salon downstate where I could tan everyday for free, I still bought sessions at California Sun because the owner frequently changes the bulbs here.Having worked at a tanning salon, it’s easy to tell when bulbs haven’t been replaced in a while. Ive never seen a burnt out bulb, defective bulb, or dusty bulb here & I’ve been a customer since 2010!Yeah there may be slightly cheaper salons in the area, but you get what you pay for. I’ve tried almost every salon in Delaware & I’ve been to a few out of state, but none have topped this salon. ALWAYS super clean and the overall atmosphere is relaxing from the decor & lighting.The owner Steve is so friendly & helpful, definitely makes you feel like a valued customer every time you come in.Oh & even the spray tan booth is hands down the best I’ve ever used. I Love this place! If you enjoy tanning and have high expectations as far as cleanliness than this is where u should go. The owner is absolutely amazing and I cant tell you one time that I have ever had a bad experience. As far as customer service, product selection, hygiene and tanning options (beds from level 1-3 and sunless) everything is perfect.

The freshest bulbs in DE! Steve is constantly installing new bulbs, making for a better tanning experience. They have great specials and offer the best tanning lotions. Quick service and friendly staff makes this the only place I’ll tan.

I am new in town, from Michigan, and had visited other salons just down the street but was not impressed with their equipment. I found this place by simply googling it and could not be happier! The owner greeted me with enthusiasm and a wealth of knowledge. The salon is very clean and the beds are well kept. You can tell the owners really take care of their equipment. I would highly recommend this salon!

I purchased a set of tans 2 years ago and recently checked back in to find my sessions never expired! I love that. Very helpful in providing details to be sure I never burn and just how to use each one of his units. I’d say that was great business practices. Honest trustworthy guy! A customer for ever!
