I came in at 5:59 pm today…1 minute before they officially close for the day. I asked the technician, I believe her namewas Ali? I want to ensure she gets props where props are due…A m I too late? Her response says everything about her and about the business. The response was…”No, not at all…what were you looking to do?” See…I’m taking my fiance on a 2 week cruise to the Bahamas. First thing tomorrow morning. I wanted a nice jump start on some color. Ali allowed that to happen instead of turning me away to go home as fast as possible. She put me…and the business….above herself. I do hope California Sun shows her some love! I’m brand new to the area. Have been a member of countless tanning salons over the past 15 years. What Ali did (I hope I have the name right…short blonde hair w/ nose piercing) hasn’t ever happened before. EVERY SINGLE salon I’ve been a member of and have shown up right before closing….turns me away. I’d give many more stars if I could.

Clean place. Employees are usually nice. Wish they had longer hours. Also, their only spray tan machine at this location breaks often, making it impossible to get what I pay for. They have other locations, but if I drive all the way to this one, I don’t want to drive all the way over to another location. A 10 min drop in becomes a hour long ordeal with driving to another location. This machine had been down on 3 different occasions in the recent past and no discount on my monthly fee has been offered.

Definitely my favorite spot. Cal Sun provides outstanding service. Whether it’s the location in folsom, Rancho Cordova, or Citrus Heights the staff is always super friendly, and extremely helpful. It’s all about that ambassador membership!!!

I hope corporate reads these reviews. I’m waiting for my turn (I’m one of three customers waiting) and there is an employee standing behind the desk doing nothing to help her coworker who is running around trying to help all of us. She has no smile, greets no one, checks no one in, doesn’t apologize for our wait. All I can see her doing is rubber banding bunches of envelopes together, and the only thing I’ve heard her say is “where’s the stapler.” If I didn’t have a contracted membership I wouldn’t come back. Customer service should me more important than rubber bands and staples.

I signed up just so i can get a base tan before my vacation. I came back 2 weeks later and apparently you cant just walk in and cancel your membership like you can to open it. It has to be on certain days that they tell you! That is in hopes that you forget and so they can charge you another months fee which is exactly what happened to me. What a scam and a waste of my time. Will look into this with BBB. Never coming back here again!
