I came across Cal E Locs on IG, a referral and in the Virginia Black Business Directory – VABBD, so I had to give her a call. She offered me an emergency virtual consultation and scheduled my appointment within 1 week! Needless to say, I got in my car and drove nearly 3 hours to see what “The Loc Surgeon” could do, and I was NOT disappointed.My first impression was… this is a very nice spot, it’s clean, warm, inviting, vibrant and the background music captured my R&B spirit immediately. “E”, invited me to sit down and without hesitation, she went to work. The first step was the IN person inspection of my scalp, after which she took the time to explain the process of repairing my locs. This included discussing the process of cutting, repairing, reparting, and sewing… I’ve been growing my locs since March 2013 and cutting any of them was not my plan. However, she’s the specialist and trust was essential.After an amazing Tea Tree wash and condition along with two hours of hair surgery, “E” boosted my confidence, mood and sense of beauty. No one knew, but I’ve been depressed about my locs shedding and thinning for the past few months. I came across Cal E Locs on IG, a referral and in the Virginia Black Business Directory – VABBD, so I had to give her a call. I started my locs in NY and when I moved to VA, I couldn’t find anyone good to maintain my hair. My boyfriend found E and referred me to her. Well, she started with me a year and some change ago and the growth is AMAZING. ANDDDD she makes her own hair products which, for me, have had my hair growing like weeds! Lol. She is amazing at what she does and really does care about the growth and maintenance of your hair. She gives into my hair coloring antics BUT my locs have not lost their strength. I’ve been growing my locs for almost 4 years. I started my locs in NY and when I moved to VA, I couldn’t find anyone good to maintain my hair. My boyfriend found E and referred me to her.
