I’ve gone to the same hair stylist in Boston since I was in high school. 14 years later, after COVID, I decided to try something local with the convenience of no traffic and no parking fees. LET ME TELL YOU, I’m so glad I did! Cabo Beauty brought a different level of professionalism and care to my hair. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile and such a welcoming vibe. The environment was extremely clean and stylish. Yvette, my stylist, did an amazing job. Her attention to detail in every strand of hair was remarkable. My hair was a challenge where my hair had three tones and was extremely dehydrated. She accepted and successfully completed the challenge with ease. Her knowledge was to envy. If you haven’t tried this place, you’re missing out! So satisfied with the outcome! I’ll always come back for more!

The moment I walk through those glass doors, my whole day gets better. I go to see Hannah for all my hair needs and she exceeds my expectations every time, but every employee there is amazing. They make me feel so at home and comfortable. Everytime I leave, I get countless compliments from people about my appearance. This is BY FAR my favorite salon. Thank you Cabo beauty I love you ❤️

*Such* a great experience. After reading the reviews, I was apprehensive due to a few negative reviews about the owner. I gave it a shot anyway and LOVE MY HAIR! Turns out, there is a new owner and she is amazing. She was sweet and helpful. If you haven’t found *the best* stylists its because you haven’t gone there!

I came in to Cabo for the second time since the turnover of ownership. I had a photo/inspo pic that was a fairly dramatic dark to blonde balayage. We’ll fast forward to the end where my hair ended up not exactly turning out the way I had wanted, but I was accepting and understanding because all stylists are essentially crafted artists. Anyone who has ever attempted an artistic craft in their life should know that sometimes what you are going for doesn’t always turn out what we anticipated, possibly by no fault of the artist. It was a rather pricey service, and the stylist could kind of tell I wasn’t totally in love with it, but it took a long time and I knew she was handling a lot, so I didn’t want to seem visibly upset. From my experience, most not fully satisfied people tend to rush to social media to complain and potentially try to smear the name of a hard working small business and their employees. (Not to get into too many details, but my total came to a pretty decent amount and the final product didn’t quite match what I had wanted walking in.) Normally, I’m the type of person to just stay quiet and deal with it next time, but given the price, I had to say something or I would’ve been really unhappy. (I would never send food back or demand a refund or something… we’re all human and sometimes things happen that aren’t what we expected) . Rather than getting upset and complaining to my friends and family, I sent Yvette, the owner, an email and did my best to explain what had happened. She responded to me IMMEDIATELY, even though it was after business hours, and she said that I was welcome to come in the next morning to have her see what they could do. I explained that I wasn’t mad at all, I just was really hoping for the initial look I had requested. She was absolutely incredible and took the time out of her day to sit me down, explain the options and that she would get me where I wanted to be. I did see the original stylist and explained that she did a great job, but I just wanted my hair to be closer to the level of the picture I had shown for the price I paid. After Yvette had finished, my hair looked amazing. She did an incredible job of explaining the process to me, including what steps she took to get me there and what to make sure I asked for in the future. (I feel like there’s a lot of complex things to know when it comes to coloring and style, and your average person is probably not familiar with the technical terminology) She would not accept any payment from me. (But of course you should always leave a gratuity, because it’s a service that is performed. So I made her take that at least.) I was so impressed by her response and reaction to the whole situation and I absolutely will go back and recommend Cabo to my friends. I’m writing this review in hopes to bring light to how certain scenarios can play out and how we as both clients and stylists/owners have the option to respond to them. I cannot say ENOUGH about Yvette and the staff at Cabo for being human, understanding and accommodating. And my hair looks AMAZING! On top of that, I watched the owner and staff rally for a member of our town who had just experienced a horrible tragedy. She used the salon as a drop off point for donations and went the extra mile to help families who needed it immediately. I truly hope people who read my review see the bigger picture and see that it’s the way you handle a situation that defines the business. I cannot say enough about Yvette for her dedication to customer service and making sure her clients are 100% satisfied. We are all humans and sometimes things don’t come out perfect or as we expect, and that’s totally ok. The reflection of the business is how they handle those situations.
