So before I called Mia, I always do research on who I’m going to for my hair. I called around because at the last minute, my hair stylist canceled on me. I seen Mia has 4.7 stars on google and 1 bad review. I was nervous. I called anyway and she had an opening for me. My schedule was weird today and it was the only day I had to get my hair done. So I pulled up and I definitely judged it’s book by the cover. I went inside, it was nice! Fast forward, I wanted exactly how I had my hair but more color on the crown area. So I did a partial foil and a cut. Happy to say that Mia did not disappoint. She did color it brighter the first time but she also said she wanted to color it that way so we can always make it darker. Took her 2.5 hours & I love it. I thought I’d pay so much money like all the other salons but she is affordable!! I will be back again (:

This place was horrible. Sure the hairdresser was nice but what she did with my hair was terrible. I told her I wanted a beliage and showed her a picture of what I wanted and she said “Sure”. When she finished, my hair looked like nothing in the picture I showed her, and she saw me comparing it. I was not happy. She immediately started making excuses for why it looked that way. At first I figured I’d give it a shot, but the more I looked at the hair the worse it looked. It was spotty, dyed in chunks, and very uneven. Even the haircut was crooked. I went back for a refund and she didn’t even give me half back. And that was after we went back-and-forth for about 30 minutes about why I was not happy and her giving me the same excuses.

So after living 6 blocks from this place most of my life, I finally decided to try it out. I am really glad I did. Such a nice salon. The two hairdressers there are the absolute sweetest, too. More than fair pricing for their services. Will definitely be back! Thank you so much!

Mia and Sung are really good hair dressers! Business being impacted by road work on 56th St. THEY ARE OPEN and it’s worth working your way there! Great service, friendly and very accommodating. Look for yellow house on corner of 56th and Birmingham across from 7-11. If you are looking for a great haircut, color, shampoo, etc., this is the place and you will be helping out a small, woman owned business as well. ENJOY!
