“This was my first time at buttercup and I’m somewhat disappointed with my experience. I asked for golden highlights. I selected a color I liked. Through out the appointment we got to talking and Emily my hairdresser suggested I go with a more vibrant red and showed me the color. I decided to be open to her suggestion and decided to mix the color she suggested with the color I had originally wanted. It turned out much brighter red than I was prepared for. I and walked out feeling overwhelmed and wrote to Emily about my feelings that night. Thank has already spent $155 and I proposed spending another $100 for an hour to come back in bring it to a place I was happier with, bringing in more of the original color I initially wanted. She spoke with Eliza, the owner, who was unwilling to make any compromise on pricing for their time, or getting me in soon enough to fix it before my party this weekend which is why I was getting my hair done in the first place. It would have cost me at least $280 total get it to a place I was happy with and this just feels like too much money. These gals are talented where initially very kind and accommodating. I showed up late to the appointment and Emily was understanding, worked quickly and set her next appointment back at bit at the end is the day which I appreciated. Still I can’t speak very highly about their care for customer satisfaction in my own personal experience. I’d suggest bringing a photo in of what you want and getting a quote of what it’s going to take to get you there ahead of time to avoid unpleasant surprises. Hard lesson learned. “

Emily styled my hair today and did an awesome job. My hair was significantly overgrown due to my not having it styled during the pandemic. Emily gave me an excellent cut for which I’m very thankful.
