Butler’s Barber & Style Shop

Critical: Professionalism, QualityI went here today for the first time. My boyfriend uses this barber shop and absolutely loves them. However, when I went in today asking for a simple undercut shape up (basically the bottom half of a men’s haircut), I was turned out the door, being told “we don’t cut women’s hair” which is not only discriminatory, but just plain rude. Especially since I was planning on tipping nicely for letting me be a walk-in. I would completely understand if I asked for layers, or bangs or something on my long hair. But to ask for a simple undercut trim? I watched them cut 3 grown men’s hair and 2 children (all done while I was sitting in the waiting chairs and was not once asked if I was next. I arrived before 3 of the men and one of the (male) children and yet they were all serviced before me.) Completely unprofessional. The fact that I asked for a literal men’s type hair cut at a BARBER shop, and was told they simply wouldn’t cut it, because of my gender. (Which is also illegal by the way) I would never give them my business and I will definitely be trying to get as many people as I can to never give them business again. So if you’re reading this review and wondering if you should go here, please go to literally any other barber shop in town and they will have more welcoming, and nice people. I went here today for the first time. My boyfriend uses this barber shop and absolutely loves them. However, when I went in today asking for a simple undercut shape up (basically the bottom half of a men’s haircut), I was turned out the door, being told “we don’t cut women’s hair” which is not only discriminatory, but just plain rude. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Quality, ValueI’m 63 yrs old and have had a number of Barber’s over the years, but these guys are by far my favorites. Never had any kind of issue.
