Critical: ProfessionalismHad an appointment with Deb Gritters. I had been going to her for a couple of years. When I walked in today, I asked her to wear a mask as I’m up in age with medical conditions and the virus numbers are up. She became very upset and said I should have told her ahead of time because she doesn’t wear masks. She said she had COVID over Christmas. The other stylists were wearing masks including the owner. After some more back and forth she did put on a mask. She said thanks for burdening me with your fears. The hour and a half that I was there was basic questions about the service. When it was time to pay, Deb said don’t leave me a tip. I asked why and she responded that when I was to come back for my next appointment I should ask for someone else. She walked away and didn’t even unlock the door. I would think being the type of business this is and the variety of customers, Deb and the owner would be willing to do everything to make their customers feel safe and comfortable. Also the fact that the owner allows her employees to treat customers like that says a lot about them. Had an appointment with Deb Gritters. I had been going to her for a couple of years. When I walked in today, I asked her to wear a mask as I’m up in age with medical conditions and the virus numbers are up.
