You’ll find our color selection extensive, including brands such as Dazzle Dry, CND, and OPI. Our non-toxic and vegan polishes are formulated without the most harmful chemicals and animal-derived ingredients found in many nail products. Our gel manicures (OPI and Shellac brand gel) will keep your nails perfectly polished for up to two weeks. We also offer facial and body waxing!

Buff and File is NOT your typical nail salon. A girlfriend and I have spent the past two years going from nail salon to salon in search of a salon BOTH of us are happy at and WANT to go back – a hard find. The pictures of my nails were taken exactly 3 weeks apart, usually by the end of week 1 I’ve chipped a nail, and by week 2 lifting has started and I’m ripping the polish off. The very first thing I loved about Buff and File is their soak off method for polish, I HATE having my polish drilled off. Another thing you’ll notice is the meticulous care for your nail and cuticle bed before they even start applying polish, any other salon you either get quality care or quality polish design. Saphron knew I was in a little bit of a hurry – poor planning on my part and not a mistake I’ll be making when I go back next week. Regardless, I walked out incredibly happy with the quality of work done on my nails. And then when I realized today that I’d had the same polish for 3 weeks, and absolutely no problems, I knew everyone else had to know. I cannot recommend Buff and File enough, ask for Saphron, you won’t be disappointed!

Kaitlyn did my bridal mani/pedi and I was blown away!! I gave her a rough idea of my vision, and let her take creative lead and I couldn’t have been happier with the result! She was so funny, friendly, and made the experience so much fun. (Everyone else in my group commented on how much they loved her and how easy going she was!) I went with all my bridesmaids, and the whole Buff and File team was super accommodating, even when one of the group members was not on time. I will absolutely be coming back , and recommending this salon for all your mani/pedi needs!! Thank you Buff and File for helping me feel beautiful on my wedding day!

Took my daughter and her friend for a kids mani and pedi for my daughters bday. Was expecting it to be $52 per kid except when you get there they basically make you use the nail polish that dries in 5 minutes. Which is great except it cost an extra $20 per kid. Paying $144(not including tip) for two kids is ridiculous. The tech that did my daughters nails was rude and not kid friendly at all. She seemed annoyed most of the time. The nails turned out cute but I can’t say I would ever come there myself or bring them back.

Definitely make an apt! It was very clear to me that from the minute I sat down that the reason why they are strict with apts is because THEY TAKE THEIR TIME; no cutting corners, which I loved. The energy in the salon was calm and the place was clean. They actually give you a quality foot massage (however I do wish they also focused on my legs a little more), and getting a pedicure was actually enjoyable. She was very careful with my nail care and made sure I was getting my money’s worth (be prepared to spend a little more $$ here) I haven’t enjoyed getting a pedicure in a very long time (for several reasons but really just boils down to lack of care for clients from at least 6 other salons in the Portsmouth area). Serene walk, well marked with great scenery. Finding the trail head was a bit challenging, but easily found once you know where it is. The trail is fairly easy; however there were some slick spots and hidden trip hazards. The site of an abandoned mine can be found along the trail. Unfortunately the trail does not provide an opportunity to see the lighthouse nearby.
