Critical: ProfessionalismThere’s no denying these stylists have talent—they’re the best around, and for a while, I’d go nowhere else. However, their business model leaves something to be desired. There’s no central scheduling system, not even by way of paper ledger; each appointment is scheduled with the individual hairdresser through personal cell phone. Twice I have never been contacted when an appointment was forgotten or cancelled. The first time, I showed up and was told my hairdresser had left three weeks before—an embarrassing situation, since I’d brought out of town guests. The second time, I showed up and the place was closed. While I understand family emergencies, some effort should have been made to reach out to me. At other times, texts went unanswered—even if I was just confirming—and there was no response to or follow up on referrals. There’s also the matter of them frequently changing cell phone numbers—I apparently had the wrong one in my phone, and was told that this had been made “publicly aware.” While there’s something to be said for an awesome haircut, if you need to count on your hair getting done, I’d go someplace else until this place adopts and can adhere to a more professional business model.There’s no denying these stylists have talent—they’re the best around, and for a while, I’d go nowhere else.
