I finally found it! A nail salon on South Padre island that knows what they are doing. Brenda the owner is amazing. She took such care in doing my gel fill I felt like I was back in NJ. Definitely stop by this full service nail salon. Brenda does hair too! Loved it so much going back for pedicure and wax. Don’t miss this place, I have been searching for 2 yrs and she is the real deal. Thank you Brenda!

I went to Brenda’s Salon while on vacation. Had a hair color highlighting disaster right before leaving. Brenda fixed it all, the brassy highlights and the root color. My two daughters, grand daughter, and I went to this Salon. The day before my daughters wedding. My daughter wasn’t pleased with her nails and at all. She was almost in tears so she left and sat in the truck. I went back inside to pay. And she told me the price, I wasn’t happy and she then tried to blame my daughter for her careless work. Then she told me to leave her business. I wanted to pay, and she insisted to call the police on me. All we wanted was a great experience for the bride and family. You will not receive that experience at this salon. It is unfortunate the experience we received. But we are fortunate enough to write this review to help the next family. I do NOT recommend this salon.

I would give 10 stars if I could. We are on vacation and leaving tomorrow and the one activity my bonus son wanted to do was get his nails done in a beach theme. My daughter also wanted to join and we went to a different nail salon at first (they were closed) so we went to Brenda’s and they were pretty busy but asked us to come back in 30 minutes so we did. Me and my daughter got our toes done and my son got his nails done, and he is the happiest I’ve ever seen him. He was beaming, she hand painted little beaches in each nail and even stayed an hour after closing time to make sure it was perfect, I am so impressed and highly recommend anyone visiting the island to go straight to her! 10 stars!

I know that this place has plenty of good reviews but I would highly recommend going somewhere else for highlights. The owner was extremely unprofessional and unqualified to do color beyond your basic highlights. First off she had her earbuds in the whole time and did not listen to what my wife wanted done. My pour wife was in the studio from 11:30 till almost 6 because Brenda could not get it right. She claimed she could do an Ombre hair style but gave her a “baby highlight so it looked like you were at a salon.” Then she tried to have her keep that look so she didn’t have to fix it. Then after coloring her hair 3 times charged her over $200 when the website said starts at $115. If she would have done it right the first time or even said she didn’t know how we would have gladly gone somewhere else. Brenda claimed my wife was indecisive on what to do, but that was only after she screwed it up. We definitely will not be going back here and highly recommend you dont go either.
