Took my son in for his first haircut today. Before making the appointment, i had asked if they would donate the hair and they only responded with “it needs to be at least 10 inches long.” I told them it was about 14 inches long and proceeded to make the appointment. They never clarified that they would not make the donation, they would only cut his hair and i was responsible for making the donation – they told me this only when my son had already picked his video and was ready to get onto the chair. Since i had already promised my son that i would get his hair cut today, i did not want to disappoint him so i proceeded with the appointment.

We came in with our daughter for her 1st haircut, and I really enjoyed the experience. My daughter seemed to enjoy it too. The experience did feel a bit rushed, but after reading the owners comments on previous reviews, I understand why. Here are things we received during our visit:

As always we had a great experience here at Brat Pack. Wanisha and the owner were so kind and helpful to us and our girls as they each got their hair cut and styled. Wanisha did a wonderful job checking with us throughout the haircut on what we wanted and the results were wonderful! The owner was so very kind and helpful to our girls and us. Getting our girls’ haircuts here is worth every penny each time we visit.

Shelly really tried everything she could to make my son (his 2nd haircut, our 1st was at a different kids salon and we had a horrible experience) as comfortable as she could! He wasn’t having it, so she asked if I was okay with her continuing anyways. She worked fast and did such a thorough job! She paid attention to small details and even added a line parting his hair (how she managed to do such a great job while he was crying and screaming is beyond me!). Her patience throughout the entire ordeal was so appreciated. We will definitely be back! I cannot recommend shelly enough

Wasn’t very pleased with the experience both times – first when my daughter was 12mo and then when she was 15mo. My LO hates for her hair to be touched so I did expect the experience to be challenging. But given that this place specialized in little ones, I was hoping for some help soothing her – but the stylist didn’t prepare her, engage her or distract her. I saw some others were offered toys and bubbles, we didn’t see those either. My LO also got a lil bruise behind her ear from the scissors. May be she was too young for this place.

The whole experience was great and the caring staff worked very hard to make her comfortable the whole time. They are able to pierce two ears at the same time, so it’s nice and quick. My daughter didn’t cry at all. The gold earrings we purchased look of good quality. There was a little hairstyle included with the piercing, which my daughter absolutely loved.
