I have been coming to Neka since 2017. There were times where I couldn’t track her down to get an appointment. Shes not a gossiper or talkative. She is about getting you in and out. Shes gotten better over time. Her prices have continued to stay reasonable. I love that! I have shoulder length hair and I got box braids. Neka started at 10:20 and finished about 12:50, I was in my car by 1:05. The braids are neat, sized to perfection and I was able to put them up in a pony tail the same day without a headache. If I were you I would go ahead and book my appointment next because she is always booked so get in there while you can.

Critical: ProfessionalismI drove over an hour to arrive at 10 am after a night shift. We agreed to Passion Twist, and she said she’ll match the color I requested as close as possible. Upon my arrival she informed me she couldn’t find the hair color at the beauty store and only had black. I agreed to the hair color. She started to twist my hair, and I made a comment that I usually keep my hair in for 2 weeks tops. She immediately stopped doing my hair and said “I got the wrong hair.” I was shocked since she already twisted a couple strands of hair. I asked her to part and braid my hair down. She charged me $30 for TWO braids and kept the $10 deposit for the Passion Twist. She said she would call me when the right hair arrived. Braids By Neka is the best hands down ! If you are looking for someone to get you in and out of there and still be looking your best this is the place to be. I usually get box braids and every single time I leave feeling better than great ! I am able to pull them up and just go. She is on time for every appointment so be sure to be on time 😉
