I got my hair done last Sunday, it does not hurt, I didn’t have to wait they were very professional and understanding with everything, so all these remarks and stuff about them not being professional, about them not showing up on time. They work on their feet all day show some dignity for these ladies, .please. Patience can take you a long way. I got my hair done last Sunday, it does not hurt, I didn’t have to wait they were very professional and understanding with everything, so all these remarks and stuff about them not being professional, about them not showing up on time. Braids look great but called to make appointment was told my braids run between $180-$250. But paid $300. Ask for a lighter color hair. I said I didn’t want black. And they still put black hair. Up to 5 people in my head at once and it still took 6 hours. Only 2 of them were polite.

I came and got my daughters hair braided , box braids in the back and corn rows in the front . Very unprofessional , they did not finish the style , they didn’t cut the pieces of hair that was sticking out of the braids after they were done . They didn’t gel it down or apply mousse . I had to come back the next day for them to snip the pieces of hair off of her braids . We ended up being there for hours and hours because they were doing more talking then braiding . Nice attitude but bad service. I was so dissatisfied that I went home and put her beads on myself . Wouldn’t recommend.

I called and spoke to the owner, asked for her only to retwist my daughter’s hair. I arrived at 11:18 sharp. We got in and she took a look and was not please with how u started hem(two strand method). Now we went to water country the other day, so I kept it wrapped up so when I took her wrap off it was a mess. I said can you interlock the root and palm twist the rest. She was not please and wanted to restart them with the comb twist. My daughter (4 years old) said she wanted to try the other way. I agreed and pied 125 up front. So far it’s 4:27 and they did the comb twist(did not put a clip at the root so they are coming out) they said the next process is co twist and put a clip then interlock the root. That is beyond me because it needs to be wet when the clip is put on. So I told the lady I did not like it, they were all different sizes and how I asked the owner to do it and she said she would but when I got there had to handle a family issue. Another worker(not African) inserted herself into the conversation being rude and one thing led to another and it because a back and forth match. I would not recommend anyone coming to braid experts. They prices are way too high and the service doesn’t match the price. I have been here all day and nothing has gotten accomplished. Not to mention the comb twist has swelled up and it looks a complete mess. Do not come here if you can help it.

I couldn’t login that’s why it took me so long to comment but I wouldn’t recommend. They were nice however they were unprofessional. I got 2 feed in braids and they looked horrible the lady that did my hair barley used any gel to lay my hair down so the braids were frizzy so I spent 50.00 and ended up taking them out 2 days later. Then she made me feel uncomfortable because she insisted I look at every picture of braids she had done on her phone and when I tried to give her the phone back she was like “no look at ALL the pictures” then she asked me to take her to tmobile up the street to pay her phone bill like we didn’t just meet that day.

Never in my 11 years of having locs have I been charged $160 for a wash, retwist, & style despite the length. I’m highly dissatisfied with my results and the time it took. I thought if i laid it down overnight it would look better, NOPE. I’ve never even seen my hair look like this, it’s HORRIBLE! Nowhere near what I asked for nor expected. I knew I should have left when she initially told me $100 wash/retwist & $25 to braid them into four straight backs. She THEN said it would be more for a different style which is how she arrived to a final cost of $160 ! My hair was dried throughly before the retwist leaving it thicker at the roots so more gel should have been applied but nope, not even at the end. My hair is dry, it looks dry and my parts are nearly invisible. NEVER GOING BACK, this is truly sad and bad business. Paid double what I normally pay for piss poor work and she knew it. Please do not go this salon. I will say that they were very nice however their work is horrible. I had the owner, and 2 lades in my hair and guess what it looked nice once i got up, however the next day my hair came out and I’ve had my hair in for a week in a half and paid $160 for jumbo twist and they look horrible! Please go elsewhere to make your money worth-wild!

I’ve been going to Braids Xpert since around 2003. Over the years this place has been the only place I would allow to braid my hair. I’m sad to say I will no longer be using this place. They have become so unprofessional, I make appointments only to get there and they don’t have anyone available even after paying a deposit. Its unfortunate that the service has gotten so bad.
