I 100% do not recommend this place for multiple reasons. 1) I asked for mid back length knotless braids with curls at the end and provided a picture for reference which she said she could do. I trusted the process and was disappointed in the end. I went to look in the mirror and the braids were not full, barely even reached my mid back, did not have curls at the end, the braids were loose, and the parts were messy. I was still Charged $200 for something that wasn’t even close to what I asked for. 2) Not even a week later the braids started to look multiple months old. 3) I had arrived at the same time as another girl, I over heard her say that she wanted knotless goddes box braids, she got finished with her braids before me and when the little girl got up I noticed that the lady gave her regular box braids (with knots). 4) the seats were really uncomfortable, mind you I was sitting down for 5+ hours.

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI’ve been coming here for 20+ years the atmosphere is always terrific and welcoming. These ladies are amazing and easy to talk to and they always understand the assignment!!! Everyone here works really well and fast, I would and have recommended them to everyone I know. I over coming here they are like family to me and everyone is terrific. Tb place is always pleasant and clean, I’m in and out in a timely fashion so I can still go ahead with my daily plans. They accept me on last minute notice and treats me perfectly, every time I leave I feel like a million dollars and I willbe coming here for the rest of my days.The sister hood these ladies have is the best, ppl need to understand time is money and braids take awhile so bring a book and relax you will love your results. I’ve been coming here for 20+ years the atmosphere is always terrific and welcoming. These ladies are amazing and easy to talk to and they always understand the assignment!!! I hope people who are trying to grow their hair beware. The lady who did my Senegalese has three children who were in the shop with her. I didn’t want my hair burnt or the scissors used on my senegalese the stylist listened to my concerns. However, I wondered why she used such small thin pieces of my hair in the front of my head but decent amount of hair in the back of my head. My hair came out in the front. I need to mention that the stylist said that my edges looked thin. Soooooo why would see put that much tension on my edges and also the front portion of my hair. I will NEVER use this shop ever again.

I’ve been to this shop about 5x. My hair is always beautiful at the end and comes out just like my photos. Only reason they’re not getting 5 stars is because the last 2x they stopped in the middle of doing my hair to pick up their kids from school/ daycare. Once they brought the kids back they had to feed them m. It was so irritating and unprofessional!

The most unprofessional salon in all of calumet City and I’ve lived here for over 10 years! This place is basically a daycare center with workers that happen the braid hair. I came in at 11:45 AM and was told to come back in 2 hours I came back at 2:30 and they STILL weren’t ready. I didn’t get started until 3:30. The worker that I was assigned to had the NASIEST attitude. We kept having “miscommunications” about the style to the point that I didn’t even feel comfortable with her doing my hair. Their children misbehaved the entire time; they ate food and threw the wrappers on the floor and I could tell the other customers were uncomfortable too because the children constantly invaded everyone’s personal space. I wouldn’t come back here if it was the last hair salon in all of Illinois. I plan on calling the “BBB” on this shop. Not to mention the Beauty salon isn’t the safest place for 8 and 9 year olds .
