My first visit to Bombsell Salon Short Pump was amazing! I decided to go for the “big chop”, so I was nervous in picking out a new salon/stylist away from home. I shouldn’t have been, as Carly made my haircut experience absolutely amazing; she really understood face shapes and hair types/textures. She made sure I was comfortable with my hair length along the way, and added more layers when I asked for them! The rest of the staff treated me just as kindly, and the atmosphere of the salon felt clean and happy! Thank you all for giving me the hair makeover I’ve been wanting!

I used to go there for waxing and I really liked the woman who serviced me during my visits. However, I was called a couple of hours before my last appointment back in May being told my girl had to cancel abruptly. I asked for the next available appointment and the receptionist told me I had to go book online. There was nothing available until the end of June into July. I was so infuriated. If there is a cancellation on the businesses end and not mine, I should have had first priority on the next opening. There should have been some accommodations made and it should have been handled right then while she was on the phone with me. That’s what led me to European wax who had an opening for me that same day and I absolutely love the results much better anyway so it was a blessing in disguise. Not that my specialist wasn’t good, because she absolutely is. I just like the wax and the results better elsewhere. Bombshell in Short Pump is otherwise a beautiful location with nice staff, but that truly left a bad taste in my mouth and I didn’t feel valued so I will not spend my money there again.

I cannot say enough about the customer service at Bombshell! As far as services go, I can only speak to the waxing. The wax technicians that I have had are knowledgeable and make me feel comfortable on each visit. I would highly recommend them!

Critical: Professionalism, ValueI’ve gone to bombshell on and off for the past few years, and every service before this recent experience was amazing. I booked an appointment for a quick face frame. When I arrived, there were 5 staff members present, but they started all speaking in hushed tones because the stylist who was supposed to do my hair (even though I had selected any stylist was fine) had already left for the day. Their only solution was to ask me to book for another day, despite it being near end of day and they had so many staff members on the floor not servicing other customers. It felt very cliqueish and unwelcoming, and I was very disappointed I had driven 30 minutes there and back for absolutely nothing. I’ve gone to bombshell on and off for the past few years, and every service before this recent experience was amazing. I booked an appointment for a quick face frame. Critical: Professionalism, QualityNormally I would give rave reviews about Bombshell. I have been getting a Brazilian wax from them for years. I have been lucky to find two amazing workers there that have done excellent. But for some odd reason they have both left. This is Disturbing to me because not every employee there needs to be working there. I have had to reschedule my appointments before with others and have had horrible experiences. I should not have to go home a rewax because the person who did my waxing missed that many areas. Why is it that the employee that do the best work keep leaving? Are the not being treated right? Why do you have so n my any employees that do such a poor job? Why does your company not care about customers not being satisfied with what they gave done? I have been getting waxed done here for over 6 years and the quality of work has definitely gone down hill and what makes it worse that prices have been increasing. Someone need to take the time to re evaluate the quality of the staff and cars more about customers being satisfied before you lose all of your customers. She understood what I wanted and made it happen. I’m SO HAPPY with my new haircut!
