I’ll stick to what I do best and give her her flowers because she’s due! The experience: (1) the consultation was honest, professional and she was open to my idea of this transition from natural to relaxed. She was confident in her ability to transition me into what I call “sleek simplicity.” Covid happened and I frankly just didn’t want to do my hair and she promised that she’d cut it so well I wouldn’t have to curl it everyday and still have the desired style. (2) The day of the appointment: we started on time which speaks to the level of respect she has for herself and her clients. I felt valuable. She has the perfect balance of an experienced stylist that can wash your head like they used to back in the day with a serious edge to keep up with the newest trends and unmatched precision with the shears. She detangled my hair so gently I fell asleep before the relaxer even touched my hair (had to catch this potato head before it hit the floor), gently scratched my scalp after being relaxed and every time she transitioned to something else she let me know. I got a virgin relaxer, semi permanent color, cut and style in 2.5 hours. Talk about maximizing your time! This picture doesn’t do the cut justice. I worked out today and my hair was literally WET! When it dried and was unwrapped this is how it looked without any heat, oil or anything else! She kept her promise! High maintenance look, but low maintenance routine. I can’t give enough praises to this young lady! She has restored me in such a way that words can’t describe. She even put me on to one of the Netflix series I’m currently binging on!
