Traveling around the US means a new hair stylist every month. Mostly they’re average at best but sometimes you happen upon a technically skilled professional who surprises you with a high end precision cut and today that was Melissa at The Bobbyshop. After reading all the google reviews for hair salons in Key West, I was underwhelmed by the lack of choices and picked The Bobbyshop just cause owner Bobby has a unique backstory. It was a lucky call. Melissa gave me a short, modern feminine point cut, and if you have thick hair, you know what that means. Highly recommend Melissa for her skill and friendly personality!

I am writing for a friend who visited the salon this morning and was “butchered” after he had shared his request with the stylist who was NOT listening, for nothing more than shaping up a taking off little hair. I made his appointment with Liz who I was told no longer worked there and they highly recommended Courey? When he arrived he was told she was not available and assigned him to a guy who has kids. He did not listen at all and Chris’ beautiful white, curly hair is all on the floor of the salon. Reading Bobby’s bio and considering he has long locks of hair you’d think that he would ensure his stylists LISTEN to the clients. We would not return if they offered a FREE cut! Do not patronize this place.
