Critical: Quality, Value$160 dollars for nothing. I came to get a baylage done here a while ago. I have black hair and I wanted to turn it to red. First off, they bleached my hair and they werent supposed to do that.Also it was dyed incorrectly, it wasnt even parted.I know this because I went to Mane Avenue with a person that did my hair that has 10 years of experience and told me what was wrong…and the lady that did my hair here didn’t even know what she was doing. When you pulled back the hair it didnt even show red at all. All on top of that it was bleached as well when it wasnt supposed to be. And all on top of that I had asked for bangs and they didnt even give me bangs because they said I would look “bad’. And the fact I had to pay $160 dollars for this is just a mediocre joke.I went to Mane Avenue and it was only $60 dollars to touch up my hair and get a haircut. Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, ValueI went to Cindy Robertson for a facial yesterday. I have bug bites, acne, rosacea and eczema and previous sunburns on my face. Yea I’m a mess. She assessed my issue used multiple products and a mask to calm my skin. I could not believe my skin when I left. Her skincare products are absolutely wonderful also. I went to Cindy Robertson for a facial yesterday. I have bug bites, acne, rosacea and eczema and previous sunburns on my face. Yea I’m a mess. She assessed my issue used multiple products and a mask to calm my skin. I could not believe my skin when I left. Her skincare products are absolutely wonderful also. Critical: ProfessionalismI was recommended this place by a friend. Unfortunately I didn’t have the same experience. Immediately upon walking in the stylists face went from a smile to a frown. Let me preface that I am a bi racial woman with curl hair who came in for an extension consultation. I followed her to her chair where she barely touched my hair. And said she needed a second opinion. The other the lady came and assumed I didn’t wash my hair and that since it was straight I had a relaxer. She then asked why it was straight when I didn’t have a relaxer. The basically tried their hardest to talk me out of extensions and didn’t offer alternatives or suggestions. The second opinion didn’t even introduce herself. When the quoted me a price it’s 4 times as more then they quoted my friend who got way longer extensions and additional work done. I had high hopes for the salon and was let down. From being racially stereotyped and quoted an outrageous price I’ll never be back. Ladies of color or curly haired ladies beware.04/26/21 Update: no one was reached out to me like they said they wanted to about my experience. Also to clarify none of this information was explained to me when I was in the chair. I think at this point, micro aggressions and diversity training would be beneficial to help prevent what the owner considers a misunderstanding. Let me preface that I am a bi racial woman with curl hair who came in for an extension consultation. I followed her to her chair where she barely touched my hair. I’ve had a stylist in my home town do my hair for the last 8/9 years. I was nervous going to a new salon because what I was wanting to do was a drastic cut but I made the decision to book with Gianna and I’m so glad I did! She DID NOT disappoint and was talkative and seemed so genuine and kind. I will definitely be using this salon as a go-to now!
