EDIT: Don’t get the dip if you’re typing all day. My 2 index fingernails snapped off this morning. I called and they’re gonna be redoing them but can’t until Friday. I added the extra glitter myself since I didn’t like how the original color turned out.

I came here before the pandemic because it was my go-to salon and I’m sad to say that I won’t be returning. COVID-19 protocols are lacking (other customers weren’t masking, staff wasn’t sanitizing or putting distance between appointments), and while I initially thought my nail tech did a great job, I got home and took a better look under the light. The nail on my right middle finger is noticeably crooked, even my husband could tell it was sitting at a distance from me. I didn’t want to have to find a new salon, but this wasn’t worth the $81 including tip I paid.

I really liked this salon! I was a walk-in for a pedicure and decided to try a dip maincure while I was there. I did not have to wait long at all. I went on a Monday around 5:30. The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. They have a great selection of good quality polishes. The staff is super friendly and did an excellent job! I will definitely be back!

Positive: Cleanliness, Professionalism, Punctuality, QualityI started working in Troy in the spring and recently discovered this nail salon within walking distance from my building. I decided one day to stop in during my lunch for a pedicure. I wasn’t sure if it would be busy or not. When I arrived there was only one person inside at the time so I was able to get seated right away for a classic pedicure. The women who greeted me were very nice and led me to the nail polish wall and where to sit. The interior is extremely clean and tastefully decorated. I also noticed they use a new plastic liners each time they run the water for a new pedicure. Super impressed. I have gone to nail salon locations around metro Detroit (never the same one twice as of yet), and this salon by far impressed me the most. The prices are average like any other location ($30 for classic pedi). My classic pedicure was very relaxing and they had great colors to choose from for the polish. The woman knew I was on my lunch hour and worked diligently and tried to be as accommodating as possible. Overall, my feet look and feel good and I do believe I have finally found a nail salon I will keep coming back to. I started working in Troy in the spring and recently discovered this nail salon within walking distance from my building. I decided one day to stop in during my lunch for a pedicure. It was my first time going to the Blush Nail bar after moving to the Madison Heights area. I was looking for a nail salon closer to me and heard good recommendations from others. The staff is very nice and everything seemed really clean. However when Donna was doing my full set acrylics, she cut me numerous times on 5 of my fingers. One was so bad it bled for a few minutes and was very tender as she proceeded to do the acrylics. After everything was said and done, my nails do look great, but not worth the $83 I paid after getting cut several times. I would go back, just request a different nail tech.

I had a HORRIBLE experience at this salon. Originally I did a wedding trial for ombré nails with Vana and after that booked an entire MONTH in advance for 11am the day before I left for my destination wedding. I had a very busy day filled with appointments scheduled, all thoughtfully planned out. I drove an hour to the salon as not every salon can do ombré nails. I walked in at 10:50am and was greeted. I said I have an appointment with Vana at 11am. She says okay and I have a seat in the waiting area. An older woman walks in at 11am stating she also has an appointment for Vana and walks in to sit right in her salon chair. I say to the employee that I have a very busy day ahead of me to prepare to leave at the crack of dawn the next day for my wedding. Vana walks in a few minutes after 11am and is confused as she has been double booked. She says she is sorry but can only take me at 1:30pm later that day. I am unable to make that since I had scheduled everything out around this nail appointment and I live an hour away. I ask the older woman who cut in front of me if she didn’t mind coming back as I can’t later. She doesn’t reply at all and Vana cuts in saying no, she has to take this woman over me as she is her regular that comes in weekly. I tear up and say I will have to go somewhere else then. So I was unable to have the ombré nails I loved for my wedding and to top it all off my mother-in-law had bought me a $50 gift credit there so she called to get a refund and the manager was very unapologetic and just said that they had tried to work with me to reschedule. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. I’ve never seen such a lack of empathy from a business before, just disregarding my situation completely when they were in the wrong for double booking.

Have had several great experiences at Blush Nail Bar! Whether I do a gel manicure or a dip, my nails are beautiful and last for several weeks! I have never seen as large of a selection of either product. The technicians are all knowledgeable and fashion-forward, and the facility is clean and modern. Will continue to refer my friends and family!
